With strong political determination, great efforts, and decisive action, localities in the province are focusing on the synchronized implementation of policies to build and improve the quality of existing urban areas and residential zones in a civilized and modern direction, contributing to the realization of the goal of building Quang Ninh into a centrally-governed city, creating a solid foundation for socio-economic development and improving the quality of life for the people.

The completion of Route 12 Khe in Vang Danh ward contributes to expanding urban development space, strengthening connections to tourist attractions such as Phuong Hoang peak and 12 Khe lake, and promoting tourism and service development in the area.

Amidst the vibrant spring colors, with flags and flowers adorning the streets and twinkling lights along both sides, the joy is multiplied for the residents of Zone 6, Vang Danh Ward, as they celebrate the Lunar New Year of the Horse 2026 traveling on the newly completed, spacious, and clean Route 12 Khe.

The 3.2km long road, with a total investment of 8 billion VND, has been put into use not only to meet the needs of the local people but also to contribute to expanding urban development space, strengthening connections to tourist attractions such as Phuong Hoang Peak and 12 Khe Lake, and promoting the development of tourism and services in the area. This road also represents the solidarity and sharing spirit of 20 households in the area who voluntarily donated approximately 300m² of garden land, along with many meters of fences, trees, and crops, contributing to a more civilized and modern urban landscape.

Mr. Dinh Khac Thang (Group 26, Zone 6, Vang Danh Ward) shared: "My family has lived here for 40 years. Before, the road was just a narrow dirt road, muddy whenever it rained, making travel very difficult. Now, thanks to the province and local authorities' investment in paving the road with asphalt, and the complete lighting system, the appearance of the residential area has changed completely, making travel and business more convenient. Everyone in the area is delighted. My family donated about 6 square meters of land along with a fence and trees to widen the road."

Under the decisive leadership and direction of the Party Committee and the government, and with the consensus of the people, Vang Danh ward has completed and put into use 11 out of 15 urban upgrading and renovation projects before the Lunar New Year of the Horse 2026, contributing to the completion of a synchronized transportation infrastructure, strengthening connectivity and promoting socio -economic development. Immediately after the Tet holiday, the construction units are urgently completing the remaining items, striving to complete all projects in the first quarter.

Mr. Nguyen Van Hung, Director of the Service Supply Center of Vang Danh Ward, said: "With the guidance and attention of the province, in 2026, the ward is determined to effectively implement the medium-term public investment plan for the period 2026-2031 and identify urban beautification and upgrading as a key task, linked with the participation and consensus of the people. The ward prioritizes three groups of tasks: completing a synchronous and modern urban infrastructure; renovating the embankment, drainage system, and disaster prevention infrastructure; and investing in inter-ward connecting projects, expanding the space for commercial and service development. The projects are implemented on the basis of connecting the areas of the old wards, ensuring harmony between urban, rural and ethnic minority areas, thereby improving people's lives and promoting economic restructuring."

The contractor is mobilizing manpower and equipment to renovate and expand the road in Tan Tien area, Hoanh Bo ward.

Like other localities in the province, Hoanh Bo ward demonstrates high political determination and decisive action, contributing to the realization of the goal of making Quang Ninh a centrally-governed city soon. Mr. Ha Huu Trong, Deputy Director of the Hoanh Bo Ward Service Supply Center, said: "In 2025, the ward implemented 14 urban upgrading and essential infrastructure projects following the motto 'The State and the people work together,' with the people as the central beneficiaries. Thanks to effective propaganda and mobilization efforts, from the very beginning of the projects, they received positive support from the people. 160 households in the areas where the projects passed through voluntarily donated and facilitated the recovery of approximately 14.2 hectares of land, contributing to accelerating progress and significantly changing the urban landscape. In 2026, the ward will continue to implement the public investment plan with more than 30 projects, focusing on completing infrastructure, improving urban quality, and contributing to achieving the goal of making Hoanh Bo a Class I urban area before 2030."

Although many challenges remain, with strong political determination, the coordinated efforts of the entire political system, and the consensus of the people, the goal of building Quang Ninh into a centrally-governed city before 2030 is entirely achievable. Each completed infrastructure project and each upgraded residential area represents a solid step on the path of development, creating a foundation for a civilized and modern city.
