"Let's join hands to share love."

Hearing about the teachers at Hoang Anh Kindergarten (Nguyen Trai Street, Thoi Binh Ward, Ninh Kieu District) implementing the "Sharing Love Together" model, we felt even more strongly the lyrics of musician Pham Tuyen's song: "When going to school, the teacher is like a kind mother."

Ms. Nguyen Thi Tu Trinh, Principal of Hoang Anh Kindergarten, began sharing about the "Sharing Love Together" model by telling the story of 10 underprivileged children studying at the school. Two of them are fatherless orphans, and the remaining eight face many hardships because their parents are low-income workers with unstable jobs. Their education is often interrupted due to their parents' lack of money. Understanding each case, Ms. Trinh and the teachers at the school were always concerned and wanted to find ways to help these children. And so, "Sharing Love Together" was born – the theme of the model encompassing everything the teachers at Hoang Anh Kindergarten aspire to.

“Actually, the school has been helping disadvantaged children for many years, but this model officially launched at the beginning of the 2024-2025 school year,” Ms. Tu Trinh said. The main purpose of the model is to help disadvantaged children maintain their school attendance without interruption. The model involves the joint efforts of teachers, the school's Parent-Teacher Association, and benefactors. Thanks to this, during the Mid-Autumn Festival, Lunar New Year, and after the Lunar New Year, 10 disadvantaged children receive money and gifts, helping parents cover expenses and giving them more motivation to care for their children.

For example, during the Lunar New Year of the Year of the Snake (2015), Hoang Anh Kindergarten organized a "Spring Festival" program, creating a playground for children before the new year with many beneficial activities such as making cakes, creating New Year's greeting cards, and participating in art competitions. Besides activities that help children increase creativity, develop aesthetics, and improve teamwork skills, the "Spring Festival" also included giving gifts to children from disadvantaged backgrounds. In addition to clothes and milk, the school mobilized social resources to provide gifts and cash to the children, each worth 800,000 VND.

QT is a child attending Hoang Anh Kindergarten, but due to difficult family circumstances, her education has been interrupted. After learning about QT's situation, the school has shown great concern and sought ways to help and encourage the family. In particular, the school has mobilized a benefactor (who requested anonymity) to provide financial assistance for the child's meals when the family faces financial difficulties.

When we arrived, we witnessed the heartwarming sight of the teachers and children neatly sorting and arranging clothes. Upon inquiry, we learned that these clothes and uniforms were donated by the school from parents of current and former students, as well as benefactors. The teachers washed and sorted the clothes and uniforms to donate to children in need. School supplies, shoes, and other items were also donated by the teachers with the spirit of "Sharing love and compassion." Vu Hoang Thu, a student in Kindergarten 1, was very enthusiastic in sorting the clothes, meticulously performing each step. When asked how she felt about helping her friends, Thu answered clearly and loudly: "Yes, I find it very meaningful!" In addition, the school incorporates educational activities in the classroom, such as guiding children to make toys, kites, and windmills to give to their friends, and encouraging them to keep their uniforms and toys clean and beautiful so they can donate them to younger students after graduation.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Tu Trinh, Principal of Hoang Anh Kindergarten, shared: After implementing the "Sharing Love Together" model, what makes the teachers happiest is that the children receive more help and attention, and their learning is not interrupted. At the same time, through this, the teachers also want to teach the children in the classes about compassion and mutual assistance through concrete and practical actions.

Meaningful early life lessons about love and compassion from the "kind mothers" at preschool!
