Let's work together to alleviate the pain.

In order to share the grief with families affected by traffic accidents, various levels of government and localities in the province have organized numerous activities such as visiting, giving gifts, and encouraging families of victims who died in traffic accidents. At the same time, these activities serve as a warning and reminder for everyone to build a culture of safe traffic practices, abide by the law, and contribute to reducing traffic accidents.

Let's work together to alleviate the pain.

The delegation from the Provincial Traffic Safety Committee visited, offered condolences, and presented gifts to the families of victims who died in traffic accidents in Zone 10, Xuan Thuy Commune, Yen Lap District.

In mid-November 2024, we, along with a delegation from the Provincial Traffic Safety Committee, visited Ms. Trieu Thi Ly, the wife of Mr. TTN, born in 1991, residing in Zone 10, Xuan Thuy Commune, Yen Lap District. Despite trying to suppress her grief, Ms. Ly couldn't hide the tears streaming down her face as she spoke with the delegation, grieving the loss of her husband in a traffic accident. At 6:45 PM on January 9, 2024, Mr. N was driving a motorcycle on the Km59+100 section of National Highway 70B in Dong Banh area, Hung Long Commune, Yen Lap District. At that time, a truck with a crane was driving on the wrong side of the road, causing a collision with Mr. N's motorcycle. As a result, Mr. N died at the District Medical Center. Now, Ms. Ly's small house feels even more empty, and the warm family meals they once shared are no longer complete.

For Ms. Tran Thi Xep, the wife of Mr. NVN, residing in Zone 7, Thach Son Commune, Lam Thao District, the days that have passed are endless. Mr. N was a fatality in a traffic accident that occurred on the inter-village road in Zone 3, Thach Son Commune on October 22, 2024. Her family is small and struggling financially, so Mr. N's death has left her and her children with immense grief; the horrific memories of the accident will haunt those left behind for who knows when they will ever fade.

The above are just a few examples of families whose loved ones have been tragically involved in traffic accidents. Witnessing these circumstances truly reveals the heartbreaking consequences of traffic accidents. Many victims are students of school age, the primary breadwinners of their families, further exacerbating their financial difficulties . Some families face increasing hardship as they borrow money to pay for the treatment of their injured relatives. Perhaps nothing can fully describe the pain of families who have suddenly lost loved ones in traffic accidents. Some suffer long-lasting trauma from witnessing their loved ones' injuries and permanent disabilities, while others miraculously survive but are left with lifelong disabilities.

As per tradition, " World Day of Remembrance for Road Traffic Victims" is held on the third Sunday of November each year. The Provincial Traffic Safety Committee has coordinated with various departments and localities to implement many comprehensive plans, including: strengthening propaganda on traffic culture, widely disseminating the purpose and significance of the event commemorating road traffic victims, identifying those in need of assistance, and encouraging social support. Simultaneously, warning about the serious consequences of traffic accidents, the risks and causes of traffic accidents, and preventive measures; improving infrastructure quality and addressing traffic black spots on routes...

Comrade Nguyen Van Danh, Chief of the Provincial Traffic Safety Committee Office, informed: From November 14th to 20th, the Provincial Traffic Safety Committee organized delegations to visit, offer gifts, and encourage 12 families with victims of traffic accidents who are in particularly difficult circumstances in the province. Through these visits, the Committee hopes that these families will overcome their grief, move forward in life, and become effective communicators, contributing to raising awareness and responsibility of each individual and the community when participating in traffic.

To achieve the goal of reducing the number of traffic accidents, deaths, and injuries, in addition to the decisive involvement of the entire political system and functional forces, the cooperation of the people and the community is essential. Especially in response to the "World Day of Remembrance for Road Traffic Victims" in 2024, the Provincial Traffic Safety Committee requests that all organizations, associations, religious groups, and citizens strictly comply with traffic safety laws and regulations, including: not driving after drinking alcohol; adhering to speed limits and avoiding reckless driving; wearing standard helmets when riding motorcycles, scooters, and electric bicycles; and always wearing seat belts when in cars participating in traffic...
