The poetry night took place at Thang Long Imperial Citadel.

The poetry night is a special event to honor poetry and spread its beauty and importance more widely and deeply in life. The program aims to introduce to the public the precious poetic heritage of the 54 ethnic groups of Vietnam, as well as representative works by national poets or works about the nature, land, and people of Vietnam's beloved S-shaped country.

At the same time, through the program, poets will gain a deeper understanding of the beauty and mission in their poetic creations. They realize that the entire community is waiting for their poetic creations; they find a strange connection between people, between themselves and the wider community. This is a great source of inspiration for their quiet creativity.

Poet Kieu Maily, of the Cham ethnic group, on behalf of the ethnic minority poets, presented flowers to the Secretary of the Central Committee of the Party and Head of the Central Propaganda Department, Nguyen Trong Nghia.

Speaking at the Poetry Night, Chairman of the Vietnam Writers Association Nguyen Quang Thieu said: "The Vietnamese people have created a long-standing and magnificent culture, and poetry is one of the magical beauties that contributes to that culture. The poets present at the 'Harmony of the Nation' poetry night – representing the 54 ethnic groups of the S-shaped land – have brought forth a declaration of the beauty and freedom of each individual and each nation."

"Let poetry reign supreme in the spiritual life of the Vietnamese people. Let poetry bring aspirations for beauty and freedom to every destiny in every corner of this beloved, magnificent, indomitable, and proud land. Let poets together sing the 'Harmony of the Nation.' Let those who love poetry step forward to embrace and enjoy with their arms, hearts, and conscience the beauty of the nation, one of which is poetry," emphasized poet Nguyen Quang Thieu.

The program opened with a gong performance by artists from Hoa Binh province, featuring the traditional music of the Muong ethnic group, around 22 torch-shaped platforms, corresponding to the number of the 22nd Vietnam Poetry Day.
