Convert more than 237 hectares from rice land to other crops

Today, March 5, the Provincial People's Committee issued a plan to convert crop structure on rice land in 2024 in the province. Accordingly, the total area converted from rice land to other crops in the province is 237.09 hectares. Of which, 207.09 hectares are converted to annual crops, and 30 hectares are converted to rice cultivation combined with aquaculture.

The purpose of the conversion is to improve land use efficiency and increase income for production households. At the same time, reorganize agricultural production in some regions and areas to exploit the advantages of land and natural conditions of each locality, creating favorable conditions for sustainable agricultural development.

Form specialized production areas with large output, form highly efficient commodity production areas, serving the restructuring of the agricultural sector. Promote production development, maximize land exploitation to ensure agricultural growth in 2024.

To implement the plan, the province will deploy solutions such as promoting information and propaganda work; synchronously applying scientific and technological advances.

In management and production organization, we will encourage and promote land consolidation and accumulation, forming large-scale concentrated production areas... Regarding resources, we will organize and well implement central policies, local budgets and other legal sources.
