According to the Director of the Provincial Post Office, Ho Thanh Long, digital transformation at the Provincial Post Office is not only about innovation, investment in technology, and modernization of production and business processes, but also about transforming the mindset and awareness of each officer, employee, and worker. The collective effort, unity, and determination to improve service quality and aim for customer satisfaction are key highlights in the Provincial Post Office's digital transformation journey.
At postal centers and offices, digital transformation has completely changed workflows. Previously, postal workers had to perform many time-consuming tasks to verify orders; now, this work is much more convenient and faster thanks to the application of barcode scanners and supporting software systems. Orders are processed quickly and accurately with complete information, and customer connection is also integrated into the software system.
Currently, the Provincial Post Office is deploying nearly 30 information technology systems, software, and applications, focusing on acceptance, tracking, and delivery; customer care; reconciliation, and payment. Among these, the "Modernization of Vietnam Post's Information Technology System" project stands out, implemented across the entire national postal system. This project connects and synchronizes with smart devices and handheld devices, creating a complete ecosystem within the closed-loop service cycle, including: PostID electronic authentication, digital service points, Vpostcode digital addresses, the My Vietnam Post application, and the Buudien.vn e-commerce platform. As a result, the Provincial Post Office's management is carried out quickly and accurately, especially in the processes of goods delivery, dispatch, collection, processing, transportation, and customer care.
Our team of postal workers is equipped with modern mobile applications that support everything from order placement and customer address tracking to cashless payment via QR code. This not only reduces paperwork but also increases transparency, making it easier for customers to track their orders.
Joining hands in building a digital government, the Provincial Post Office is promoting the reception and provision of digitized documents and the delivery of results for administrative procedures for organizations, individuals, and businesses through public postal services. Thanks to decisive digital transformation, the production and business efficiency of the Provincial Post Office has seen positive changes. Operating costs have decreased significantly by eliminating intermediaries and wasting resources. More importantly, customer satisfaction is increasing as delivery times are shortened and services become more diverse. By 2025, the total revenue and income of the Provincial Post Office will exceed 373 billion VND, reaching 101% of the plan and increasing by 109% compared to 2024.
In reality, digital transformation across all sectors has helped the postal industry deliver the best service experiences and quality to customers. Ms. Nguyen Hoang Oanh, a resident of Rach Gia ward, shared: “I highly appreciate the improvements and innovations in the postal industry's service provision. Postal services are digitized, so staff provide very quick support, eliminating cumbersome procedures and paperwork. The combination of modern technology and dedicated service makes me feel very secure when using the postal industry's services.”
Along with its strengths in a widespread postal network, diverse transportation methods, and abundant human resources, comprehensive digital transformation will help the provincial postal sector enhance its competitiveness in the market, reach new heights in the new era, and make practical contributions to the digital transformation process of the province and the nation.
