Ho Chi Minh City Police FC narrowly defeated HAGL.

(NLDO) - Despite creating numerous scoring opportunities, Ho Chi Minh City Police FC only managed a 1-0 victory when hosting HAGL at home in Round 3 of the V-League 2025-2026 on the evening of August 28th.

With the home advantage and a core squad considered superior to their opponents, Ho Chi Minh City Police Club (CA TP HCM) quickly found their rhythm, controlled the game, and dominated HAGL for most of the match.

In the first half, coach Le Huynh Duc's team pushed forward with attacks down the flanks, creating at least three clear scoring opportunities, but could only break through goalkeeper Trung Kien's defense thanks to a goal from Endrick.

In the second half, the home team played defensively and counter-attacked, ceding possession to HAGL in order to maintain their lead. The team from Pleiku had opportunities to equalize but could not break through the defense of goalkeeper Patrik Lê Giang.

With three more points at home, Ho Chi Minh City Police FC temporarily moved up to sixth place in the standings, three points behind the leaders. Meanwhile, HAGL remains stuck in second-to-last place with only one point.

In a match played at the same time, Hanoi Police FC convincingly defeated Hanoi FC 4-2 thanks to a hat-trick from foreign player Alan and a goal from Artur. This result propelled CAHN to second place in the standings with 7 points after 3 rounds, while Hanoi FC remained at the bottom with only 1 point.
