Quang Nam FC recruits naturalized striker.

Sources from VTC News indicate that striker Hoang Vu Samson is likely to sign a contract with Quang Nam FC instead of HAGL. Previously, there were reports that this naturalized player had come to HAGL for a trial along with Victor Mansaray.

However, coach Kiatisak Senamuang decided to sign striker Joao Mario and central defender Jairo Rodrigues. HAGL has only confirmed the departure of Washington Brandao and has not yet released official information regarding Pape Diakite.

Despite being over 35 years old, Hoang Vu Samson remains one of the top strikers in the V-League 2023. He scored 9 goals in the V-League and 1 goal in the National Cup for Ho Chi Minh City FC last season. The team from Ho Chi Minh City secured their place in the league early thanks to the contributions of the Nigerian-born player.

Samson has joined Quang Nam FC.

However, the two sides failed to reach an agreement after the 2023 season. Hoang Vu Samson frequently had problems with his former clubs. Before joining Ho Chi Minh City FC, he had a heated argument with Thanh Hoa FC regarding his attitude on the field. Ultimately, the Thanh Hoa team imposed a penalty, which Samson refused to accept and sued in court, but ultimately lost.

Hoang Vu Samson is also considered one of the best strikers in V-League history. He spent 16 seasons in Vietnam's top football league and scored over 200 goals. Samson contributed to Hanoi FC's three V-League championships. His outstanding performances were one of the reasons the capital city team built its empire.

Regarding Quang Nam FC's transfer situation, coach Van Sy Son, through his connections, quickly secured striker Washington Brandao, center-back Nguyen Tien Duy, goalkeeper Nguyen Van Cong, and midfielder Phan Thanh Hau. Hanoi FC also loaned Mach Ngoc Ha, Le Xuan Tu, and Vu Van Son to Quang Nam FC. Striker Nguyen Dinh Bac is likely to commit his future to the team based at Tam Ky Stadium.
