The beauty queen, born in 2000, affirmed: " I will try my best in this beauty pageant. The outcome depends on fate . I hope to receive everyone's encouragement, just like during the national costume round where some problems and incidents occurred. At that time, I thought, why can't I do better? After that round, those who love me have always encouraged me and given me the most positive energy so that I believe I can do it."

Dịu Thảo also revealed that runner-up Mai Ngô has always been by her side, from the national beauty pageant until now. "Currently, Mai Ngô is in Thailand to cheer me on during the semi-final of Miss International Transgender 2023."

Specifically, the representative from Singapore was rated highest by Sash Factor . In addition, the remaining contestants in the Top 10 predicted for National Costume were: Malaysia; China; Nicaragua; Mexico; Thailand; Cambodia; Netherlands; Indonesia; and the Philippines.

Dịu Thảo's absence from the predicted Top 10 National Costume rankings at Miss International Transgender 2023 is believed to be due to an incident she encountered during this segment of the competition. Specifically, the 2000-born beauty chose a costume called "Nàng phù sa" (The Alluvial Maiden), weighing 15kg, for the National Costume competition. This costume, designed with wings on the back and a lotus-shaped skirt, symbolizes the flood season, with its waters bringing abundant produce and alluvial soil to the Mekong Delta.

However, during her performance of "Nàng phù sa" on the rather cramped, multi-tiered stage of Miss International Transgender 2023, Dịu Thảo encountered an unfortunate incident. She was unable to control the train of her dress as she wished. Therefore, the 2000-born beauty needed assistance from the backstage staff during her performance.

Referring to her failure to win the Talent competition ahead of the semi-finals and finals of Miss International Transgender 2023, Dịu Thảo emphasized: "I don't think that's a disadvantage because all contestants in this competition try their best to showcase themselves. Once they receive that gift, they need to try even harder."
