Scientific Workshop on Smart Agriculture and Rural Development: Opportunities, Challenges and Solutions

(Haiphong.gov.vn) – On the morning of December 18, at the City Convention Center, the City Union of Science and Technology Associations in collaboration with the Institute of Innovation and Digital Transformation; Hai Phong Electronics and Informatics Association organized the Scientific Workshop on Building Smart Agriculture and Rural Areas: Opportunities, Challenges and Solutions.
Dr. Bui Thanh Tung - Chairman of the City Union of Science and Technology Associations; Director of the Institute of Innovation and Digital Transformation Nguyen Thi Bich Lan; Chairman of the Hai Phong Electronics and Informatics Association Bui Xuan Tuan co-chaired the Workshop. Attending the Workshop were representatives of leaders of Departments, branches and related units.

At the Workshop, delegates listened to experts and scientists present and exchange information and share contents related to: solutions for developing smart new rural commune models; application of lighting technology and IoT control in high-tech production; application of 4.0 technology - Anti-counterfeiting and traceability; orientation of digital transformation and smart agricultural and rural models in new rural development in the period of 2021 - 2025; role of Science, Technology and Innovation in building smart rural areas; implementation of effective solutions for developing smart rural models in rural areas, bringing digital economic development to all regions.
Dr. Bui Thanh Tung, Chairman of the City Union of Science and Technology Associations, spoke at the Workshop.
Speaking at the Workshop, Dr. Bui Thanh Tung, Chairman of the City Union of Science and Technology Associations, emphasized: The Workshop is a practical activity contributing to the effective implementation of the Prime Minister's Decisions: No. 749/QD-TTg on approving the National Digital Transformation Program; No. 263/QD-TTg on approving the National Target Program on New Rural Construction (NTM), period 2021 - 2025; No. 923/QD-TTg on approving the science and technology program serving NTM construction, period 2021 - 2025; No. 922/QD-TTg on approving the Rural Tourism program in NTM construction; No. 924/QD-TTg on approving the Digital Transformation Program in NTM construction, towards smart NTM, period 2021 - 2025.
For the success of the Workshop, Dr. Bui Thanh Tung, Chairman of the City Union of Science and Technology Associations, suggested that delegates actively exchange, discuss, share good experiences, creative ways of doing things, and boldly point out the shortcomings, limitations, and difficulties in the construction of smart agriculture and rural areas in the current period.
