(NLĐO) - Today, the weather in Ho Chi Minh City and the Southern region will be mostly cloudy with sunny periods, sometimes hot, with maximum temperatures ranging from 30-33 degrees Celsius.


According to the Southern Vietnam Regional Hydrometeorological Station, today, January 9th, the weather in Ho Chi Minh City and other southern provinces and cities will generally be cloudy, with no rain at night, sunny during the day, and sometimes hot; northeast winds at level 2-3. It will be cool and slightly foggy in the early morning.

The weather in Ho Chi Minh City today is cloudy with sunshine, and periods of intense heat.

Southern Vietnam will experience lowest temperatures ranging from 21-24 degrees Celsius, with the eastern region potentially dropping below 20 degrees Celsius. Meanwhile, the highest temperatures during the day will reach 30-33 degrees Celsius.

In Ho Chi Minh City specifically, temperatures range from a low of 22 degrees Celsius to a high of 32 degrees Celsius.

Besides the high temperatures, the humidity in the area is above 70%, causing a stuffy feeling. Furthermore, the districts are forecast to have a high-risk ultraviolet (UV) index today, ranging from 6-7 around midday. Although the UV index has decreased slightly compared to previous days, precautions are still necessary when participating in outdoor activities.

Therefore, people should prepare thoroughly before going outside by using sun protection measures such as wearing UV-protective clothing, wide-brimmed hats for protection, sunglasses to protect their eyes, and applying sunscreen with an SPF appropriate for the weather conditions.

Regarding the weather in the sea area from Ba Ria - Vung Tau to Ca Mau (including the sea area of ​​Ho Chi Minh City) from tonight, January 9th, there will be strong northeasterly winds of level 6, gusting to levels 7-8, rough seas, and waves 2-4 meters high. All vessels operating in these areas are at high risk of being affected by tornadoes, strong winds, and large waves.
