On the afternoon of October 13, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Binh Thuan province (DOCST) officially responded to the information about the Binh Thuan Football Club accusing Mr. Le Ba Hung, Director of the Provincial Sports Training, Coaching and Competition Center (Center), of many irregularities during the past season.

According to the leader of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, immediately after receiving the feedback, the Department established a Verification Team headed by the Department's Chief Inspector.

Verification results show that coaches and athletes when joining Binh Thuan Club are paid full salaries according to regulations, based on their professional qualifications.

Bonus issue, budget has no spending content but must mobilize social resources.

To have bonus money to encourage the football team, the representative of the Provincial People's Committee sent a sponsorship invitation letter to businesses to mobilize support.

However, due to many difficulties faced by businesses, the team's reward campaign budget up to this point has only received more than 92.5 million VND.

With the above amount, the Center will give to the coaching staff and athletes when organizing the tournament summary scheduled for October 18.

Explaining the content of the reflection that the food money for the tournament was cut, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism said that the spending of food money was done according to the Circular of the Ministry of Finance and according to the Decision to send participants to the tournament.

According to State regulations, the regular training allowance is 240,000 VND and the competition days are 320,000 VND, both must be paid into the personal account of each coach and athlete.

The Center has made full payments from December 2022 to the end of August 2023.

Regarding the reflection that the team has not received any money for quarterly and annual shoe allowances, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism has severely criticized and requested the Center to urgently prepare the procedural documents to proceed with the purchase according to regulations.

Meanwhile, the deduction of income tax of coaches and athletes is according to regulations.

By the end of December 2023, for those who need a tax refund, the Center will process tax refund procedures for individuals according to regulations.
