List of nominees for the 2024 Victory Cup awards categories.



*Female Athlete of the Year:



1) Diep Thi Huong (canoeing, Vinh Phuc ) won 1 gold medal at the Asian Championships and 1 gold medal at the U23 Asian Championships.

2) Pham Thi Hue (rowing, Da Nang ) won a gold medal in the double sculls event at the Asian Championships, and qualified for the Olympic quarterfinals in the single sculls event.

3) Bac Thi Khiem (taekwondo, Son La province), outstanding achievement: won the gold medal in the women's 67kg sparring event at the Asian Taekwondo Championships.

4) Nguyen Thuy Linh (badminton, Dong Nai) won the Vietnam Open international tournament, entered the Top 30 in the world, and qualified for the Olympics for the second consecutive time with one win.

5) Hoang Thi My Tam (karate, Ha Tinh) won 1 gold medal in the individual kumite 55kg category and 1 gold medal in the team kumite at the Asian Championships.

6) Nguyen Thi That (cycling, An Giang) won the silver medal at the Asian Road Cycling Championships.

7) Nguyen Thi Bich Tuyen (volleyball, LPBank Ninh Binh) won 3rd place in the FIVB Challanger Cup, won the AVC Challanger Cup with the national team, and was runner-up in the Asian Women's Club Championship with LPBank Ninh Binh Club.

8) Trinh Thu Vinh (shooting, People's Police) won the gold medal in the 10m air pistol mixed event at the Asian Championships, and finished 4th at the Olympics.

*Male Athlete of the Year



1) Tran Quyet Chien (3-cushion carom billiards, Ho Chi Minh City) won the Bogota World Cup and Veghel World Cup 2024, and the 2024 World Team Championship.

2) Pham Quang Huy (shooting, Hai Phong) won the gold medal in the 10m air pistol mixed event at the Asian Championships, and 5 gold medals at the National Shooting Excellence Championships.

3) Le Tuan Minh (chess, Hanoi) won the bronze medal in the individual third board event at the Olympiad.

4) Le Duc Phat (badminton, Army) won the Lagos International Classics, securing a spot in the Olympics with one victory.

5) Nguyen Van Khanh Phong (gymnastics, Ho Chi Minh City), outstanding achievements include winning a silver medal at the Asian Championships and 3 gold medals at the National Championships.

6) Le Quoc Phong (archery, Vinh Long) finished 4th at the Incheon World Cup, reached the semi-finals of the Antalya World Cup, and qualified for the Olympics.

7) Hoang Nguyen Thanh (athletics, Binh Phuoc) broke the national marathon record after 21 years, became national champion, and secured a spot to participate in the Berlin Marathon.

8) Lai Gia Thanh (weightlifting, Hanoi) won 1 gold medal and 2 bronze medals at the World Cup.

*Young Athlete of the Year:



1) Dang Thi Hong (volleyball, Thai Nguyen) won a bronze medal at the national A-level tournament, a silver medal at the national U.23 tournament, a gold medal at the national youth club tournament with her club, and secured a spot in the U.21 World Cup with the national U.20 team.

2) Nguyen Thi Huong (canoeing, Vinh Phuc) 1 Silver Medal at the Asian Championships, 3 Gold Medals at the U23 Asian Championships

3) Banh Gia Huy (chess, Hanoi) won the national championship in the standard chess category, achieved the International Master title, and joined the Vietnamese national team for the Olympiad at the age of 15.

4) Nguyen Thi Thu Huyen (badminton, Dong Nai) Silver medal in the U15 age group at the Asian Youth Championships

5) Pham Le Xuan Loc (cycling, Military Region 7) achieved a remarkable feat by winning all four titles at the "Returning to Dien Phu" cycling race, winning the White Jersey at the Ho Chi Minh City Television Cup, and finishing 8th at the U.23 Asian Championship.

6) Vo Thi My Tien (swimming, Long An): 1 gold medal at the Asian Age Group Championships; 9 gold medals at the National Championships; 7 gold medals at the National Championships in the 25m pool; 7 gold medals at the National Youth Championships; participated in the Olympics.

7) Tran Minh Tri (weightlifting, An Giang) won 1 gold medal in the total lift, 1 gold medal in the clean and jerk, and 1 silver medal in the snatch in the 67kg category at the World Junior Weightlifting Championships.

8) Nguyen Thi Nhi Yen (athletics, Long An) Silver medalist at the U20 Asian Championships, qualified for the Olympics

*Outstanding Disabled Athlete of the Year:



1) Le Van Cong (weightlifting, representing Ho Chi Minh City) Bronze medal at the 2024 Paralympic Games, 49kg category.

2) Le Tat Dat (swimming, Ho Chi Minh City) ranked 4th in the 100m breaststroke at the 2024 Paralympic Games.

3) Do Thanh Hai (swimming, Ho Chi Minh City) ranked 5th in the 100m breaststroke at the 2024 Paralympic Games.

4) Pham Thi Huong (Hanoi, chess for people with disabilities) ranked 4th at the World Blind Chess Championship.

5) Chau Hoang Tuyet Loan (weightlifting, Ho Chi Minh City) ranked 5th in the 2024 Paralympic Games, women's 55kg category.

Coach of the Year



1) Nguyen Thi Bac (National Athletics Team Coach) coached and led the women's team to win the gold medal in the 4 x 400m relay at the Asian Relay Championships.

2) Doan Kim Chi (Coach of Ho Chi Minh City Women's Football Club) led Ho Chi Minh City 1 Club to win the 13th National Championship; and also led Ho Chi Minh City 1 Women's Club to an outstanding performance in the AFC Women's Champions League 2024/25.

3) Luu Van Hoan (National Canoeing Team Coach) coached and guided his students to win 1 gold medal and 1 silver medal at the Asian Championships, 6 gold medals at the Asian Youth and U.23 Championships, and secured 1 spot to compete in the Olympics.

4) Nguyen Tuan Kiet (Head Coach of the Vietnamese Women's National Volleyball Team) coached and led the Vietnamese National Team to win the AVC Challenger Cup and third place in the FIVB Challenger Cup.

5) Duong Hoang Long (Head Coach of the National Karate Team) coached and guided his students to win 3 gold medals, 2 silver medals, and 1 bronze medal, ranking second overall at the 2024 Asian Karate Championships.

6) Le Quang Thai (National Paralympic Weightlifting Team Coach) trained and guided weightlifter Le Van Cong to win a Paralympic bronze medal.

* Outstanding Foreign Expert of the Year



1) Park Chung Gun (South Korea, National Shooting Team) coached and guided his students to win 1 gold medal at the Asian Championships, securing 1 spot and ranking 4th at the Olympics.

2) Park Chae Soon (South Korea, National Archery Team) coached and guided his students to win 2 Olympic qualification spots and 2 bronze medals at the Asian Youth Championships.

3) Siyana Bozhilova (Bulagaria, Aerobic Gymnastics) coached her students to win 1 gold medal at the World Championships and 2 gold medals at the Asian Championships.

4) Daniela Samuilova Kerkelova (Bulgaria, weightlifting) coached and guided her students to win 2 gold medals and 1 silver medal at the World Junior Championships.

5) Hariawan Hong (Indonesia, badminton) coaches and guides his students to qualify and perform well at the Olympics.

* Team of the Year



1) The women's indoor volleyball national team won the AVC Challenger Cup continental championship, finished third in the FIVB Challenger Cup world championship, and qualified for the 2025 World Championship.

2) The beach handball team finished 9th at the Asian Championships, securing a spot in the 2025 World Games.

3) LPBank Ninh Binh Women's Volleyball Club wins silver medal at the Asian Women's Club Championship.

4) Saigon Heat successfully defended their Vietnam Professional Basketball League (VBA) championship title, achieving the remarkable feat of winning the title 5 times in a row.

5) The Vietnam U.20 women's indoor volleyball team finished 5th at the U.20 Asian Championship, securing a spot in the 2025 U.21 World Cup.

6) The Ho Chi Minh City women's football club won the national championship for the 13th time, including 6 consecutive times, and performed excellently in the AFC Champions League.

* Teammate of the Year:



1) The women's 4x400m relay team in athletics (Quách Thị Lan, Nguyễn Thị Hằng, Nguyễn Thị Ngọc, Hoàng Thị Minh Hạnh) won 1 gold medal at the Asian Relay Championships.

2) The rowing team (Nguyen Thi Giang, Phan Thi Thao, Pham Thi Ngoc Anh, Le Thi Hien, Ha Thi Vui, Dinh Thi Hao, Pham Thi Hue, Du Thi Bong, Luong Thi Thao) won the gold medal at the Asian Championships in the 8-boat event.

3) The Aerobic Gymnastics team in the 5-person group event (Nguyen Viet Anh, Vuong Hoai An, Nguyen Che Thanh, Le Hoang Phong, Tran Ngoc Thuy Vi) won 1 silver medal at the World Championships and 1 gold medal at the Asian Championships.

4) The women's kumite team karate (Nguyen Thi Ngoan, Nguyen Thi Dieu Ly, Hoang Thi My Tam and Dinh Thi Huong) won the gold medal at the Asian Championships.

5) The trio of martial artists (Chau Tuyet Van, Nguyen Thi Le Kim, Lien Thi Tuyet Mai) won the gold medal in the women's team standard poomsae event at the Asian Taekwondo Championships.

6) The Vietnamese golf team (Nguyen Anh Minh, Le Khanh Hung, and Ho Anh Huy) won the 2024 Nomura Cup Asia-Pacific Team Championship.

*Lifetime achievement (according to regulations decided and announced by the Selection Council, with advisory support from the Department of Sports and Physical Education).



*Most Popular Athlete of the Year



The candidate in each individual category who receives the most votes from the audience and fans will win the Most Popular Athlete award. This is the only category decided by the audience and fans, and the results will be announced earliest, on the morning of January 1, 2025.
