According to Tech4Gamers , the PlayStation 5 Pro (PS5 Pro), Sony's new flagship gaming console, is disappointing many gamers due to annoying visual glitches. Specifically, when playing some games at 60 FPS, the image suffers from flickering and jagged edges, significantly reducing the gaming experience.
The PS5 Pro continues to receive complaints about graphical glitches in games.
Is the PS5 Pro's PSSR image enhancement technology the culprit?
The cause is believed to be due to Sony's new PSSR (PlayStation Spectral Super Resolution) image enhancement technology being unstable. PSSR was expected to deliver sharper graphics on the PS5 Pro, but in reality, it caused annoying image glitches for users.
Many gamers have reported this issue on forums and social media. They say the 'flickering' bug appears in many different games, causing the image to be jagged, blurry, and difficult to see. Notably, this bug only occurs when playing games at 60 FPS with PSSR enabled. If they switch to 120 FPS or disable PSSR, the image returns to normal.
Currently, Sony has not issued an official comment on this issue. However, it is highly likely that the company will soon release a software update to fix the PSSR bug following numerous user complaints.
This incident once again demonstrates that adopting new technology always carries inherent risks. Hopefully, Sony will fix the bug soon so that PS5 Pro users can fully enjoy the premium gaming experience.
