Workers as responsible voters

In Thai Nguyen province, there are approximately 14,500 operating businesses, providing employment for over 240,000 workers. These days, along with other localities in the province, many businesses are carrying out propaganda activities regarding the election of deputies to the 16th National Assembly and representatives to the People's Councils at all levels for the 2026-2031 term, targeting their workforce.

In many businesses, especially those with a large workforce, the message about the significance and importance of the election is integrated into collective activities, departmental meetings, or union activities. Many units also combine this with dissemination through bulletin boards, internal loudspeakers, and online information groups. Through these methods, employees gain a better understanding of their rights and obligations when participating in the election.

Ms. Luc Dieu Linh, a worker at TNG Investment and Trading Joint Stock Company, said: "I have worked at the company for over 10 years. Recently, the company's leadership has regularly informed employees about the significance of the election day. Since the election day falls on a Sunday, I will arrange my family affairs to return to my hometown to participate in voting, fully exercising my rights and obligations as a voter."

According to Mr. Ngo Trung Duc, Secretary of the Youth Union of TNG Investment and Trading Joint Stock Company, election propaganda work has been implemented at factories and affiliated units. The Party Committee and the company's leadership have instructed units to strengthen the dissemination of information to employees about the significance of the election, while also raising awareness of citizens' rights and obligations when participating in voting.

Currently, TNG has approximately 19,000 employees working in its factories. Because the election day coincided with a company holiday, the company's leadership encouraged employees to proactively arrange their work schedules and return to their places of residence or temporary residence to participate fully in voting.

Some businesses maintain continuous production, even on holidays, such as Quan Trieu Cement Joint Stock Company, which has arranged its operating schedule to ensure that employees can exercise their right to vote. The company currently has more than 200 employees. For employees working in shifts, production times are arranged flexibly so that everyone can vote on March 15th.

Recognizing the importance of the election, the Thai Nguyen Provincial Association of Small and Medium Enterprises has widely disseminated information within the business community. Mr. Nguyen Van Cuong, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Association, stated: "The Association focuses on disseminating election information to its members and the business community, aiming to raise awareness and responsibility among employees when participating in the election."

According to assessments, many businesses have actively disseminated information to their employees. This has contributed to raising political awareness and a sense of responsibility among workers in selecting representatives who will represent the will and aspirations of the people, contributing to the development of the country and Thai Nguyen province in the new era.
