For nearly 5 years, Ms. Tu has actively coordinated and implemented the emulation movements and campaigns of the Association, bringing about many practical results. She has disseminated the policies and guidelines of the Party, the State and the Association to members; disseminated the prevention and control of the Covid-19 epidemic; ensured food safety, the campaign "Vietnamese people prioritize using Vietnamese goods"; Action month for the environment... in the activities of the branch/group of the Association, through the social network Zalo for more than 5,700 members and women to attend and access.
In the neighborhood, Ms. Tu established and maintained the piggy bank model "Buy health insurance" for members in difficult circumstances. Up to now, the model has purchased 80 health insurance cards with a total value of nearly 80 million VND. She mobilized gifts for women on holidays and Tet; mobilized female members to participate in cultural, artistic, and sports activities, creating healthy playgrounds such as the Health Fitness Club, 3 have 3 know...
Ms. Tu also actively mobilized members, women and people to carry out the campaign "Building a family of 5 no, 3 clean" associated with the emulation movement " Tay Ninh joins hands to build new rural areas, smart urban areas" in the neighborhood. The annual assessment results show that over 85% of households of cadres and members meet 8 criteria. For households that have not met the criteria, Ms. Tu researched and proposed support, thereby helping 25 households complete the criteria. In the neighborhood, the association also maintains the model "Trusted Address", Ms. Tu has participated in consulting and providing legal support for 15 cases of conflicts and domestic violence.
Previously, Mrs. Tu worked at a kindergarten, but after retiring, she only worked at home, so she rarely went out to meet many people. Therefore, group activities opened up new joys for her. For her, the happiest thing was meeting her sisters, participating in activities such as cleaning up and protecting the environment in the neighborhood, and planting trees to remember Uncle Ho.
Ms. Tu said: “When participating in the Women's Union, I met many people, which made my life less cramped and my mind more open. I can develop myself more when I understand more, and do things that I never had the opportunity to do before.” According to Ms. Tu, due to her family's circumstances, she can only contribute to mobilizing everyone to join hands to help those in difficult circumstances or spend time visiting and encouraging women. But that alone makes her happy because of the meaning of the work.
With the characteristics of urban areas, people often go to work, so the association often gathers older members to participate in activities. But in return, the women are very enthusiastic about these small activities. "The elderly like to go here and there, participate in activities, so each time an activity is organized, it often attracts many participants. The association's activities contribute to creating a healthy and useful playground for women, helping to keep the neighborhood greener and cleaner," said Ms. Tu.
Although she has not been involved in the association for long, thanks to her enthusiasm, Ms. Tu has received the trust of female members as well as the association leaders in the ward for her positive contributions.
