Noticing something unusual, Mr. Phuoc proactively drove Ms. V. to the Song Tri Ward Police Station to cooperate in preventing the scam, instead of taking her to the bank to conduct the transaction.

At the police station, Ms. V. was given an analysis and explanation of the methods and tactics used by fraudsters. From this, she understood the situation clearly and abandoned her intention to transfer money to the perpetrators.

According to the police, Ms. V. had previously met someone through social media who introduced himself as living abroad. During their conversations, she developed feelings for this person. After some time, the man said he had sent many gifts along with $50,000 USD (over 1.3 billion VND) to Ms. V.

During the communication, the scammer manipulated Ms. V.'s psychology, demanding that she keep the conversation secret. To receive the gifts and the aforementioned money, she had to transfer $5,000 in advance.

Trusting her online "lover," Ms. V. took the money to the bank to deposit it. However, on the way, the taxi driver noticed something unusual and promptly took her to the police station.
