PSG's request to postpone their Ligue 1 matches has been denied. |
According to the current schedule, PSG will host Liverpool at home in the first leg of the Champions League quarter-finals on April 9th. Just two days later, they will travel to Lens' Bollaert-Delelis stadium for the 29th round of Ligue 1. This match is crucial in the title race as Lens are only one point behind PSG. Immediately afterwards, Luis Enrique's team will travel to Anfield to play the second leg against Liverpool on April 15th.
The packed schedule has put PSG at a significant disadvantage in terms of both physical condition and tactics. The Parisian club officially requested that Ligue 1 organizers postpone their match against Lens to allow more time for recovery between the two crucial Champions League matches. However, Lens refused.
