According to information from some provincial and municipal Social Insurance agencies, the schedule for paying pensions and allowances transferred to personal accounts for December 2025 will be implemented from the beginning of the month.

A representative of Ho Chi Minh City Social Insurance (SHI) said: The city's Social Insurance has announced the schedule for paying pensions and fixed social insurance benefits from September 2025 onwards in Ho Chi Minh City, applying the following process: Payment via account: Ho Chi Minh City Social Insurance directly transfers money to the beneficiary's account from the first working day of the month.

Instructions for opening a bank account to receive pension.

Payment in cash: Ho Chi Minh City Post Office, Binh Duong Provincial Post Office, Ba Ria - Vung Tau Provincial Post Office organize payment at payment points from the 10th of each month; continue to pay at the Post Offices of the Central/District Post Offices from the 11th to the 25th of each month. Note: Payment time is during office hours and Saturday mornings. In case the payment date falls on a Sunday, holiday, or Tet holiday, the payment date is the next working day.

Thus, pension payments through beneficiaries' accounts in Ho Chi Minh City will be made from December 1.

Ms. Duong Thi Minh Chau, Head of the Department of Propaganda and Support for Social Insurance Participants (SI) of Hanoi City, said that in December 2025, Ms. Duong Thi Minh Chau said: "The SI agency of Hanoi City will pay to beneficiaries via personal accounts on December 2 (Tuesday). Regarding cash payments to beneficiaries, the SI agency will coordinate with the Post Office to develop a payment plan from December 5.

The total number of people on the payment list in November 2025 is 604,455 cases with a total amount of more than 4,207 billion VND. Of which, the number of people receiving through personal accounts is 601,531 people (99.51% rate), with an amount of more than 4,165 billion VND; the number of people receiving in cash at payment points is 2,924 (0.49% rate) with an amount of more than 42.1 billion VND.

A representative of the Social Insurance of Quang Ninh province said: Pension payments via bank transfer in the locality will start from the beginning of the month, December 1; and cash payments will start from December 3.

According to Vietnam Social Security, there are nearly 3.4 million people nationwide receiving pensions and benefits. In the payment period of July 2025, nationwide, 81.5% of the total number of people receiving pensions and monthly social insurance benefits through personal accounts.
