According to information from several provincial social insurance agencies, the payment schedule for pensions and allowances transferred to individual accounts in December 2025 will be implemented starting from the beginning of the month.

Representatives from the Ho Chi Minh City Social Insurance (BHXH) agency stated that the agency has announced the schedule for paying pensions and fixed social insurance benefits from September 2025 onwards in Ho Chi Minh City, following this procedure: Payment via bank account: Ho Chi Minh City Social Insurance will directly transfer money to the beneficiary's account on the first working day of the month.

Instructions for opening a bank account to receive your pension.

Cash payment: Ho Chi Minh City Post Office , Binh Duong Provincial Post Office, and Ba Ria - Vung Tau Provincial Post Office will organize payments at designated locations starting from the 10th of each month; payments will continue at the Central/District Post Offices from the 11th to the 25th of each month. Note: Payments will be made during business hours and on Saturday mornings. If the payment date falls on a Sunday, public holiday, or Tet (Lunar New Year), the payment will be made on the next working day.

Therefore, pension payments through beneficiaries' bank accounts in Ho Chi Minh City will be implemented starting from December 1st.

Ms. Duong Thi Minh Chau, Head of the Propaganda and Support Department for Social Insurance Participants in Hanoi , stated: “The Hanoi Social Insurance agency will disburse payments to beneficiaries via personal accounts on December 2nd (Tuesday). Regarding cash payments, the Social Insurance agency will coordinate with the Post Office to develop a payment plan starting from December 5th.”

The total number of people on the payment list for November 2025 was 604,455, with a total amount exceeding 4.207 trillion VND. Of these, 601,531 people (99.51%) received payments via personal bank accounts, totaling over 4.165 trillion VND; while 2,924 people (0.49%) received payments in cash at designated payment points, totaling over 42.1 billion VND.

Meanwhile, a representative from the Quang Ninh Provincial Social Insurance agency stated that pension payments via bank transfer in the province began at the start of the month, December 1st; while cash payments started on December 3rd.

According to Vietnam Social Security, nearly 3.4 million people nationwide receive pensions and benefits. In the July 2025 payment period, 81.5% of all pensioners and social insurance beneficiaries nationwide received their monthly payments through personal bank accounts.
