Voters in Lang Son enthusiastically exercised their civic rights.

On March 15th, voters in the mountainous border province of Lang Son joyfully went to the polls to elect representatives to the 16th National Assembly and representatives to the People's Councils at all levels for the 2026-2031 term.

Politburo member, Central Committee Secretary, and Chairman of the Central Inspection Committee Tran Sy Thanh, along with local voters, attended the opening ceremony and cast their ballots at polling station No. 6, Dai Thang Block Cultural House, Luong Van Tri Ward, Lang Son Province.

Polling station number 6 in Dai Thang block has over 1,780 voters, making it one of the polling stations with the largest number of voters in Luong Van Tri ward. Even before 6 a.m., many voters had already arrived at the polling station to study the biographies of candidates for the National Assembly and People's Councils at all levels. The atmosphere of election day here was truly vibrant. The Dai Thang block cultural center and surrounding streets were decorated with bright national and Party flags, creating a joyful and enthusiastic atmosphere. The polling area was scientifically arranged with clear signage.

Mr. Ha Van Dinh, a voter from Luong Van Tri ward, shared: “I am 68 years old this year. Each election brings me special emotions. In the new term from 2026 to 2031, the country is entering a period of deep integration, creating a solid foundation for development with many great goals and expectations. I hope that the National Assembly and People's Council representatives at all levels will uphold their roles and responsibilities as elected representatives, participate in building practical mechanisms and policies, and contribute to the overall development of our homeland and country.”

According to the Lang Son Provincial Election Committee, over 636,900 voters across the province participated in the election at 1,419 polling stations in 65 communes and wards. To ensure the election was conducted safely and in accordance with regulations, and to guarantee that all voters could fully exercise their rights and civic duties, the Provincial Election Committee, along with local authorities and relevant agencies, developed plans and strategies for organizing the election, ensuring security, order, and social safety.

Accordingly, Lang Son province will elect 7 National Assembly deputies for the 16th term; the Provincial People's Council for the 2026-2031 term will elect 50 deputies; and the commune-level People's Councils will elect 1,271 deputies. The entire province has 3 constituencies for National Assembly elections; 13 constituencies for Provincial People's Council elections; and 328 constituencies for commune and ward People's Council elections for the 2026-2031 term.
Election committees at all levels have prepared 1,800 supplementary ballot boxes for polling stations to serve elderly and disabled voters who are unable to come to the polling stations to exercise their civic rights as prescribed.
