The prolonged rains and floods have left many areas in Da Nang deeply submerged. Many communes and wards have been isolated; landslides and flash floods in the highlands have caused heavy damage. Throughout the area, the army, police, militia, border guards and local authorities have joined forces to respond, racing against time to protect people's lives and property.
