"I thank you"

Mr. Canh married Ms. Ha (26 years old) in October 2019. As a soldier working in a main unit, he was often away from home, sometimes only returning home once every few months.

After two years of marriage without good news, and one failed attempt at natural ovulation stimulation, they began their own special battle: overcoming illness, the Covid-19 pandemic, and their own fears, to have children.

In April 2021, at the Reproductive Support Center, Tam Anh General Hospital, Hanoi , the doctor diagnosed that Ms. Ha's uterus was normal, both fallopian tubes were open, however, her menstrual cycle was irregular, only 2-3 times a year, making it difficult to track ovulation for conception.

To have children, she must undergo treatment to restore ovarian function, combined with modern in vitro fertilization techniques.

At that time, the COVID-19 epidemic broke out strongly, soldier Pham Duc Canh took on the task at the Political Officer School, and was on duty to respond to the pandemic. At the same time, he and his wife began the in vitro fertilization (IVF) process to find a child.

"The decision to do IVF was not easy," Mr. Canh recalled. In addition to financial pressure, the couple also had fears about medical interventions. Ms. Ha was prescribed medication to regulate her menstrual cycle and scheduled to take ovulation-stimulating drugs. The results were satisfactory when they had three embryos on day 3, one embryo on day 5, and three embryos on day 6.

The treatment process was interrupted for 10 months due to COVID-19. On February 21, 2022, after Associate Professor, Doctor, Doctor Le Hoang, Director of Tam Anh IVF Center transferred a good quality 5-day embryo into Ms. Ha's uterus, Mr. Canh had to return to continue his duties, while his wife went home alone by car to quarantine.

After the embryo transfer, Ms. Ha began to show signs of suspected COVID-19 infection, and had no relatives around. Mr. Canh also had to be quarantined because his workplace had an infected case.

When he heard that his wife was pregnant, Mr. Canh was both happy and worried. Ms. Ha went through the entire 9-month and 10-day pregnancy journey alone, being both the strong support and the pillar of the family, without once complaining.

On November 9, 2022, angel Pham Le Khanh Ngan was born, the greatest gift of their lives, crystallized from the love, resilience and tears of a soldier and a wife in the rear.

"I am grateful that you accepted to be the wife of a soldier who was often away from home. During your IVF journey, you were always optimistic and strong, never once complaining to have a miracle," Mr. Canh wrote in a post sent to the program "The Miracle of Parents", part of the event series "IVF Tam Anh - 18 years of creating miracles", organized by Tam Anh General Hospital System.

Strong faith creates "miracles"

Associate Professor, Dr. Le Hoang said that treating military families is very special. Soldiers and their families have a strong belief and will, but they have to overcome difficulties of time and geographical distance.

Every time Ms. Ha went to the hospital alone for treatment, the doctors, medical staff, and customer care team provided maximum support so that the soldier's wife would not feel lonely on her journey to "find her child".

"We have been, are and will always strive to find the best solution. But above all, the success of IVF Tam Anh is built on the trust and perseverance of the patients," Associate Professor Le Hoang said.

As of June 2025, the Tam Anh IVF Reproductive Support Center System has 4 large facilities in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, examining and treating more than 100,000 customers each year.

After 18 years, the entire System has successfully treated tens of thousands of infertile couples, fulfilling their dream of becoming parents and having healthy, "genuine" children as desired.

Tam Anh IVF applies the most modern "lab-in-lab" embryo culture system in Southeast Asia, meeting ISO 5 super clean standards. Artificial intelligence (AI) software integrated in the Time-lapse embryo culture cabinet helps specialists score and select the best embryos for patients.

The "three-legged stool" strategy closely combines male infertility - female infertility - laboratory with personalized treatment regimen. The system also applies modern genetic diagnostic techniques, screening for genetic abnormalities in embryos, in-depth genetic counseling... to help patients increase their chances of getting pregnant and giving birth to healthy children.

Hundreds of babies born from IVF at Tam Anh IVF reunited with their parents at the Golden Gourd Festival organized by the System.

Children receive free general health check-ups by a team of experienced pediatricians, with good results and proper development. The festival continues to take place in Hanoi on June 8, 2025.
