The book "When people need, when people are in trouble, there is the Police":

On the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution, National Day September 2 and the 80th anniversary of the People's Public Security Forces' Traditional Day (August 19, 1945 - August 19, 2025), on the morning of August 15, in Hanoi, the National Political Publishing House Truth and the Central Public Security Party Committee jointly organized a ceremony to introduce the book "When the people need, when the people are in difficulty, there is the Public Security".

During his lifetime, President Ho Chi Minh once advised: "The Vietnamese police are the people's police, born from the people, working for the people, fighting for the people." Imbued with Uncle Ho's teachings and at the same time implementing the direction of General Secretary To Lam: "When the people need, when the people are in trouble, there is the police", every officer and soldier of the People's Police today always upholds the spirit of responsibility, trains political mettle, moral qualities, and constantly strives for a peaceful and happy life for the people.

With nearly 300 pages, the book "When the people need, when the people are in trouble, there are the police" published by the Truth National Political Publishing House, is a rich collection of stories, documents, and authentic and touching images about the silent but extremely great contributions of the People's Public Security force throughout the history of the revolution, especially in peacetime. From police soldiers in remote areas to soldiers on duty day and night on the front lines of the Covid-19 pandemic, natural disasters, storms and floods... all have been portrayed as vivid images of courage and spirit of serving the people.

Speaking at the ceremony, Associate Professor, Dr. Vu Trong Lam, Director - Editor-in-Chief of the National Political Publishing House, emphasized that the book is an important study and research document, effectively serving the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's policies and laws on the task of protecting national security, ensuring social order and safety, and at the same time is a reference handbook for Party committees at all levels in the People's Public Security force. The book needs to be published in an electronic version to spread its value deeply, serving a large number of readers on the information channels of the Ministry of Public Security and the publishing house.

Speaking at the launching ceremony, Associate Professor, Dr. Tran Quoc To, member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Minister of Public Security emphasized that in recent years, under the absolute leadership of the Party and the direction of General To Lam - now General Secretary, the People's Public Security force has left many outstanding marks: Taking the lead in streamlining the apparatus; advising on many major policies and strategies; hitting crime rings; pioneering the application of science and technology, digital transformation; perfecting the legal system; enhancing international cooperation; effectively implementing social security programs, helping tens of thousands of poor households, policy families and ethnic minorities...

The book “When the people need, when the people are in trouble, there is the Public Security” was compiled to propagate, spread and deepen the image of the heroic People's Public Security force with its glorious feats and achievements; at the same time, demonstrate the determination to effectively implement the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's policies and laws and the direction of General Secretary To Lam on ensuring security, order and building the People's Public Security force to meet the requirements in the new situation.

To continue to imbue and effectively implement the motto of action "When the people need, when the people are in trouble, there is the Police", comrade Tran Quoc To suggested that the police at all levels need to have appropriate forms to propagate and widely disseminate the content and meaning of the book to cadres, soldiers and people; closely link with the implementation of promoting the study and following of Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style; the study regime, implementing the Six Teachings of Uncle Ho and the movement "Building the style of a People's Police officer with courage, humanity, serving the people".

Along with that, the Deputy Minister of Public Security also suggested that each officer and soldier of the People's Public Security should take the stories and examples in the book as motivation to practice and cultivate; be close to the people, closely attached to the people, respect the people, listen to the opinions and aspirations of the people; wholeheartedly and wholeheartedly serve the Fatherland and the people...

At the ceremony, the Organizing Committee presented the book "When people need, when people are in trouble, there is the Police" to representatives of a number of central departments, ministries, and branches; a number of units under the Ministry, and the People's Police Library.
