Specifically, on the morning of June 30th, due to heavy rain, localized flooding occurred at Km 63+100 on National Highway 70, in the section passing through Bao Ai commune, causing difficulties for traffic. The Km 28 task force of Traffic Police Team No. 5, Traffic Police Department of Lao Cai Provincial Police, coordinated with the Bao Ai Commune Police to organize traffic diversion from a distance, directly regulating traffic, guiding vehicles through the flooded area in stages, and reminding drivers to reduce speed and maintain a safe distance.
Thanks to the proactive efforts of the authorities, traffic through the area has remained smooth, with no congestion or unfortunate incidents occurring. After the rain subsided and the water receded, traffic returned to normal.

Earlier, on the evening and night of June 29th, heavy and prolonged rain in Muong Khuong commune caused flooding in many areas, with water overflowing into people's homes, affecting property and daily life. Immediately that night, the People's Committee of Muong Khuong commune directed functional forces, the commune police, and village security teams to urgently assist people in moving their belongings to safe places, clearing waterways, removing mud and debris, cleaning up the environment, and addressing initial damage.
In Ngũ Chỉ Sơn commune, on the afternoon of June 29th, the commune police received a report about a truck being swept away by floodwaters and becoming stuck in a stream in Xín Chải village while en route to collect concrete samples. The truck was driven by Mr. BLMT (born in 1986, residing in Lào Cai ward). Due to heavy rain, the stream's water level rose, creating a strong current, and the vehicle was swept away and trapped between rocks, posing a potential safety risk.

In the treacherous terrain and strong currents, the authorities used cables to pull the vehicle out of its stuck position.
After more than an hour of effort, at approximately 6:30 PM on the same day, the truck was safely brought ashore. The incident caused no casualties, and the vehicle sustained only minor damage. The timely response contributed to protecting the lives and property of the people, while also affirming the pivotal role of the local police force in disaster prevention and search and rescue operations.
