Da Nang: Fire at container yard has been extinguished.

According to a report from the Fire Prevention, Fighting, and Rescue Police (Da Nang City Police), by 3:30 PM on December 1st, the fire at the container yard had been brought under control. By 5:30 PM the same day, the fire was completely extinguished.

Earlier, at 1:46 PM on the same day, the Command Information Center of the Da Nang City Police received a report of a fire at a container yard containing asphalt (used for highway construction) located in Thach Nham Dong Hamlet, Ba Na Commune, Da Nang City. The Command Information Center dispatched 12 fire trucks, 1 fire-fighting robot, 4 water tankers, 4 fire pumps, 1 vehicle to transport foaming agent, and 120 officers and soldiers to the scene.

The fire caused no casualties; property damage is currently being assessed. Authorities are investigating the cause of the fire.

As reported by VNA, a large fire broke out at the container yard around 1 PM on December 1st. Dozens of fire trucks, water tankers, and officers and soldiers from the Da Nang City Police force deployed to extinguish the fire. Police drew water from National Highway 14B and a nearby lake to control the blaze from multiple directions.

However, due to the presence of many flammable goods, the fire was large and thick black smoke rose high, requiring authorities to use gas masks and specialized equipment to safely access the burning area. Strong winds complicated the fire, with many loud explosions, and a column of smoke hundreds of meters high and stretching for kilometers…
