Da Nang: Fire at container yard extinguished

According to the report of the Fire Prevention, Fire Fighting and Rescue Police (Da Nang City Police), by 3:30 p.m. on December 1, the fire at the container yard was under control. By 5:30 p.m. the same day, the fire was completely extinguished.

Previously, at 1:46 p.m. the same day, the Command Information Center, Da Nang City Police received a report of a fire at the asphalt container yard (used for highway construction) at the address: Thach Nham Dong village, Ba Na commune, Da Nang city. The Command Information Center mobilized 12 fire trucks, 1 fire fighting robot, 4 water tankers, 4 fire pumps, 1 vehicle to transport foam, and 120 officers and soldiers to the scene.

The fire did not cause any human casualties; property damage is being assessed. Authorities are investigating the cause of the fire.

As reported by VNA, a major fire broke out at the above container yard at around 1 p.m. on December 1. Dozens of fire trucks, tankers, and officers and soldiers of the Da Nang City Police deployed a firefighting plan. Police took water from National Highway 14B and a nearby lake to deploy many teams to control the fire.

However, due to the large amount of flammable goods, the fire was large and the black smoke was high, so the authorities had to use gas masks and specialized equipment to safely approach the fire area.
