Highlights of Thanh Thuy Tourism Week

With its many unique and ancient historical and cultural relics, including five nationally ranked sites, Thanh Thuy district has become an attractive destination for spiritual tourism . Furthermore, Thanh Thuy possesses rare natural hot springs, making it an ideal resort destination for tourists. Exploiting its potential and advantages, the district is focusing on implementing solutions to develop tourism. The Thanh Thuy District Tourism Week - Autumn 2024, themed "Returning to the Land of Green Waters," will take place from August 31st to September 4th and will feature many special activities to welcome locals and tourists.

The street music program is one of the new features of this year's Thanh Thuy District Tourism Week.

During the Tourism Week, numerous cultural and tourism activities will take place to showcase the unique culture of Thanh Thuy, promote its tourism potential, attract investment, stimulate demand, and develop tourism, while also launching the 2024 Thanh Thuy tourism season. This is an annual event and also an opportunity for state management agencies and tourism businesses to introduce and promote the potential, advantages, and tourism products of Thanh Thuy, expand markets, build joint ventures and partnerships, engage in trade, and exchange experiences in tourism development.

This year's Tourism Week is especially aimed at creating a joyful and enthusiastic atmosphere among all segments of the population to celebrate the 79th anniversary of the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2024) and the 25th anniversary of the re-establishment of the district (September 1, 1999 - September 1, 2024); and to acknowledge and honor the contributions of the Party committees, government, and people of all ethnic groups in the district to the cause of building socialism and defending the Fatherland.

Comrade Vu Duc Kien - Head of the Culture and Information Department of Thanh Thuy District, said: A new feature during the Thanh Thuy District Tourism Week - Autumn 2024 is the street festival program, which includes: Public cultural and artistic exchanges on the evenings from September 1-3 at the "Street Music" stage, interspersed among the stalls; and the organization of a pedestrian zone linked to commerce and services. Each commune, town, and a number of tourism service businesses in the district will set up one stall to display, introduce, and sell tourism products, local produce, agricultural products, and characteristic cuisine of their respective units. Within the pedestrian zone, there will be a total of 40 stalls displaying, introducing, and selling OCOP products and regional specialties from August 31 to September 4 on both sides of the double road opposite the entrance to the Ngoc Xanh Island Tourist Area.

The opening ceremony and welcoming art program, featuring spectacular performances by professional singers and actors, as well as a light show using drones, will take place from 8 PM on August 31st at the beginning of the dual carriageway opposite the entrance to the Green Pearl Island Tourist Area. In celebration of Tourism Week, football tournaments for various clubs will also be held at the Thanh Thuy District Stadium from August 20th to 30th. Numerous artistic activities at tourist areas and attractions throughout the district will also take place from August 31st to September 4th.

To prepare for the Thanh Thuy District Tourism Week - Autumn 2024 event, the district has established an Organizing Committee, assigned specific tasks to relevant agencies and units, and actively directed the preparation of necessary conditions to ensure the event is solemn and creates a positive effect for tourism development.

Thanh Thuy has great potential for tourism development, with a rich history and culture, as well as diverse and unique natural resources. Through the Tourism Week, the scenic spots, history, culture, and the image and people of Thanh Thuy will be widely promoted, making Thanh Thuy more well-known and attracting more investors willing to join hands in developing tourism in the district.
