The 10th National Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front is being held in the historic month of October, a time when society as a whole, in every family, agency, and unit, is showing affection, care, respect, and love for women. In that spirit, before the closing ceremony, on behalf of the Presidium of the Congress, I would like to respectfully extend my best wishes for good health and heartfelt affection to all the women attending the Congress. I wish you all a happy, healthy, beautiful, and joyful October 20th.

After nearly three days of urgent, serious, responsible, and effective work, the 10th National Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front has successfully completed its agenda.
1,052 delegates, representing various social classes, strata, ethnic groups, religions, armed forces, and overseas Vietnamese, attended the Congress. With the spirit of " Unity - Democracy - Innovation - Creativity - Development ," the Congress focused on discussing and adopting the following documents:
(1) Political report of the Congress.
(2) Report on the review of activities of the Committee, the Presidium and the Standing Committee of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, term IX, 2019 - 2024.
(3) Content of amendments and additions to the Charter of the Vietnam Fatherland Front.
(4) Through the personnel plan and consultation, the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, 10th term, consists of: 397 members; Presidium: 67 members; Standing Committee, Chairman, Vice Chairman - General Secretary and 2 full-time Vice Chairmen and 7 part-time Vice Chairmen.
The Congress was very pleased, excited, and moved to welcome: Comrade To Lam, General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam , President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam; Comrade Pham Minh Chinh, Member of the Political Bureau, Prime Minister; Comrade Tran Thanh Man, Member of the Political Bureau, Chairman of the National Assembly; Comrade Luong Cuong, Member of the Political Bureau, Standing Member of the Secretariat; and other members of the Political Bureau, Secretariat, and Central Committee; leaders of central departments, ministries, agencies, and mass organizations; and leaders of provinces and cities... who attended, directed, and encouraged the Congress.
The Congress was delighted and moved to welcome Comrade Nong Duc Manh, former General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam; former Presidents, former Prime Ministers, former Chairmen of the National Assembly, former leaders of the Party and State; and former Chairmen of the Vietnam Fatherland Front from various periods to attend and share in the joy of the Congress.
In an atmosphere of enthusiasm, excitement, and confidence, the Congress attentively listened to the very important, heartfelt, strategic, and historically significant speech by Comrade To Lam, General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam and President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam. The General Secretary and President reaffirmed the very important position and role of the Vietnam Fatherland Front; the tradition and strength of national unity; the consistent viewpoint of the Party and State: the people are the foundation, the center, the subject, and the goal of all policies and guidelines; and the promotion of the people's right to self-governance, relying on the people to build a clean and strong Party, State, and political system, with the well-being and happiness of the people as its ultimate goal. The General Secretary and President also acknowledged and commended the important and comprehensive achievements of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front during the past term. Agreeing with the goals, directions, and tasks for the next term, the General Secretary and President directed many important contents for the Vietnam Fatherland Front to add to the documents and implement in the coming time; strongly arousing the spirit of patriotism, national pride, self-reliance, and self-confidence so that our country can enter a new era - the era of the Vietnamese nation's striving for development.
In an open, frank, and responsible atmosphere, Deputy Prime Minister Le Thanh Long and Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Tran Quang Phuong exchanged views with the Congress on many important issues regarding the results and orientations of coordination between the Standing Committee of the National Assembly and the Presidium of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, and between the Government and the Presidium of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front. They expressed confidence that in the coming term, under the wise leadership of the Party, the National Assembly, and the Government, all levels of government will closely coordinate with the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and the Vietnam Fatherland Front at all levels to implement major campaigns and patriotic emulation movements effectively and comprehensively. In the immediate future, they will strive to achieve the goals of the 2024 plan, aiming to complete the elimination of temporary and dilapidated houses nationwide in 2025; and make the utmost effort to support and assist people affected by Typhoon No. 3 in restoring production and stabilizing their lives as soon as possible. We are preparing to contribute opinions to the documents of the Party Congresses at all levels leading up to the 14th National Party Congress and preparing for the elections of People's Council Deputies at all levels and National Assembly Deputies. Together, we will coordinate to better implement matters related to national development and people's welfare, and better carry out the Party's orientation of "the people know, the people discuss, the people do, the people inspect, the people supervise, and the people benefit," contributing to strengthening and consolidating the great national unity.
The National Assembly, the Government, and state agencies will sincerely listen to and genuinely address the legitimate opinions and recommendations of voters and the people, encouraging all sectors of the population to seize opportunities and overcome all difficulties and challenges, striving to successfully achieve the goals and tasks set forth by the 13th National Congress of the Party and the resolutions that the 14th National Congress will set forth.
In a spirit of frankness, objectivity, and comprehensiveness, the Congress received 110 presentations and dozens of written contributions supplementing the documents presented to the Congress. The Presidium of the Congress highly appreciated and acknowledged all the heartfelt, intelligent, and responsible opinions of the delegates, and assigned the Presidium and the Standing Committee of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, 10th term, to direct the incorporation and implementation of relevant opinions.
With a very high level of consensus and unity, the Congress adopted the Resolution of the Congress defining the direction, objectives and tasks for the period 2024-2029; identifying 10 specific targets, 6 action programs and assigning the Presidium and the Standing Committee of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, 10th term, to research, incorporate, supplement ideas and finalize, announce and organize implementation.
On behalf of the Presidium of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, 10th term, Comrade Do Van Chien, Member of the Political Bureau, Secretary of the Central Committee of the Party, Secretary of the Party Group, and Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, 10th term, delivered a speech accepting the nhiệm vụ and pledged to the Congress to unite, reach consensus, and make the utmost effort to successfully implement the directions, goals, and tasks set forth by the Congress.

The 10th National Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, for the term 2024-2029, was a resounding success. The Presidium of the Congress respectfully expresses its gratitude for the special attention and effective guidance of the Politburo and the Secretariat of the Central Committee of the Party; respectfully thanks and seriously accepts the heartfelt, responsible, and strategically significant guidance of General Secretary and President To Lam; and thanks the leaders, former leaders of the Party, State, Vietnam Fatherland Front, and distinguished guests for their attention and valuable time spent attending and guiding the Congress.
The Congress would like to express its sincere gratitude to the Standing Committee of the National Assembly, the Standing Committee of the Government, the Prime Minister, the Party Committees, People's Councils, People's Committees, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, and the National Assembly delegations of provinces and cities, especially Hanoi, for their attention, assistance, and creation of the most favorable conditions, which have made important contributions to the success of the Congress.
The Congress acknowledges, highly appreciates, and sincerely thanks Comrade Tran Thanh Man, Member of the Political Bureau, Chairman of the National Assembly, former Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, 9th term (early term); and the members of the Committee, members of the Presidium, Vice-Chairman - General Secretary, and Vice-Chairmen of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, 9th term, for their important contributions to the results of the 2019-2024 term. Due to work requirements and specific conditions, many comrades were not re-elected for the 10th term. We hope that these comrades will continue to monitor, offer suggestions, and provide encouragement so that the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, 10th term, can better fulfill the tasks entrusted by the Congress.
The Congress acknowledges and expresses its sincere gratitude to the former Chairmen, Vice-Chairmen, members of the Presidium, and members of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committees of all terms, as well as the officials of the Vietnam Fatherland Front at all levels from the central to the grassroots, the Front Work Committees in residential areas, and all strata of the people, compatriots, and comrades... who have shown interest, followed, contributed opinions, and supported all activities of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, especially contributing to the success of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Congresses at all levels and the 10th National Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front.
The Congress would like to express its gratitude to the news agencies, press, artists, officers and soldiers of the armed forces; officials, civil servants, and employees of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front; the service departments of the National Convention Center, hotels, the Vietnam Folk Music and Dance Theatre, and all forces who have dedicated themselves, acted responsibly, and excellently fulfilled their duties, contributing to the success of the Congress.
The Congress sincerely thanks all organizations, individuals, entrepreneurs, and businesses for their material support and moral encouragement, which contributed to the successful conclusion of the Congress.

The 10th National Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front is the most vivid and beautiful symbol, demonstrating the strength of the great national unity, an extremely precious tradition of our nation, painstakingly built and nurtured by generations of our ancestors with sweat, blood, hardship, sacrifice, and the will, faith, and aspirations of the Vietnamese people who cherish peace, humanity, and righteousness; the blood and bones of the sons and daughters of Vietnam have mingled with the motherland to become golden bricks building the impregnable fortress of the Vietnamese Fatherland. Therefore, no hostile force can divide our great national unity. From today's Congress forum, the Presidium of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front calls upon all social classes and strata, all people, ethnic groups, religions, intellectuals, artists, businesspeople, enterprises, and overseas Vietnamese to further uphold the spirit of patriotism and national pride, to have absolute faith in the leadership of the Party and the management of the State, and to contribute their intellect and efforts to continuously consolidate and strengthen the tradition and power of national unity, combined with the strength of the times, working together: Once discussed, it is agreed upon; once started, it is achieved; once decided, the whole country is united in building our beloved Vietnam into a peaceful, independent, democratic, prosperous, civilized, and happy nation.
With that profound belief, on behalf of the Presidium of the Congress, I hereby declare the closing of the 10th National Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, term 2024-2029.
