Ms. Luong Thi Thao's family, residing in Cay Thi hamlet, Dai Phuc commune, maintains approximately 1,000 square meters of tea plantation. Over the years, her family has regularly raised 10-15 buffaloes. By utilizing well-rotted manure as fertilizer for the tea plants, their tea garden thrives year-round, yielding significantly higher productivity and quality compared to using chemical fertilizers.

Along with maintaining the existing tea cultivation area of households, Dai Phuc commune has formed tea processing and trading cooperatives. Most cooperatives are linked with tea-growing households to build a stable raw material supply for production, ensuring the quality of fresh tea during processing.

A prime example is the Kim Thoa Tea Cooperative, established and operational since 2022 with a registered capital of 600 million VND and 7 members. The cooperative maintains a 5-hectare tea plantation cultivated according to VietGAP standards. Annual fresh tea leaf production exceeds 88 tons, with 75% consumed by the cooperative and the remainder sold by its members. The cooperative's tea products have received a 4-star OCOP certification. On average, the cooperative sells approximately 6 tons of dried tea annually, generating revenue of around 1 billion VND.

Ms. Tong Thi Kim Thoa, Director of Kim Thoa Tea Cooperative, said: "From its inception, the cooperative has focused on producing and processing clean, safe tea products that meet organic standards. Member households that grow and supply raw materials to the cooperative are managed from fertilizer application to cultivation and harvesting processes."

The participating households primarily use organic fertilizers such as well-rotted manure, microbial preparations, and organic-microbial fertilizers. They also use biological preparations for pest control and manually weeding. Consumers today are very concerned about the quality, cleanliness, and safety of products, so this is always a top priority for the cooperative.

Dai Phuc commune aims to achieve a fresh tea leaf production of over 31,500 tons by 2030, with a product value exceeding 1 billion VND per hectare of tea plantation per year; the total annual revenue from tea cultivation is expected to reach approximately 1,268 billion VND.

To achieve this goal, the locality is continuing to promote digital transformation in agriculture towards smart farming, and developing distinctive tea products to serve tourism development. Tea processing will also be emphasized to create more high-quality products.

Mr. Nguyen Nam Tien, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of the People's Committee of Dai Phuc commune, said: In the local socio -economic development orientation, Dai Phuc commune focuses on building brands and paying attention to safety in tea production and processing. Products from tea plants will be processed further, applying science and digital transformation to increase income for people per unit area.

The commune aims to achieve a tea value of 900 million to 1 billion VND/hectare/year by 2030, with total revenue reaching 1,000 - 1,500 billion VND. The commune also focuses on product promotion, turning tea into a tourism commodity. Along with promoting tea products, the locality will prioritize promoting tea culture to tourists.
