Speaking after the conclusion of negotiations on June 22, Mr. Gharibabadi said that the meeting of the Islamabad High Committee monitoring the implementation of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), which took place from June 21 and lasted until the early morning of June 22, focused on building a mechanism for implementing the MoU and concretizing the joint statement adopted at the high-level session, thereby achieving the necessary agreements in all areas.
Mr. Gharibabadi stated: "According to the agreed terms, the upcoming negotiations will be conducted under the supervision of a High Committee, with the participation of the Speaker of the Iranian Parliament, the Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic of Iran, the US Vice President, the Prime Minister of Pakistan, and the Prime Minister of Qatar."
He also stated that four specialized working groups have been established, including: the Working Group on Ending Sanctions, the Nuclear Working Group, the Economic Reconstruction and Development Working Group, and the Monitoring and Implementation Working Group.

In accordance with the commitments outlined in the contents agreed upon by the High Committee and the joint statement following the meeting, the parties also agreed to establish a dedicated liaison point among the member states of the Memorandum of Understanding to ensure the safe and smooth passage of commercial vessels through the strategically important Strait of Hormuz.
In addition, a de-escalation and conflict prevention unit for Lebanon has been established with the participation of member states along with Pakistan and Qatar. The heads of the technical negotiating teams from the four countries will be responsible for overseeing the activities of this working group and unit, providing guidance and reporting directly to the High Committee.
Mr. Gharibabadi also highlighted the concrete economic results achieved during the technical negotiations. According to him, Iran's persistent efforts led to the US granting a general license allowing transactions related to the sale of Iranian crude oil, petrochemical products, petroleum derivatives, and all related services.
In addition, agreements signed to release $12 billion of frozen Iranian assets, divided into two tranches of $6 billion each, have also been agreed to immediately move into the implementation phase.

According to Mr. Gharibabadi, these developments are clear evidence of the success of Iran's principles-based diplomacy. He argued that, despite years of facing unilateral sanctions imposed by the US that Iran considers illegal, the Islamic Republic of Iran has once again demonstrated its ability to protect its legitimate rights and interests, bring tangible economic benefits to its people, and contribute to regional stability and security through constructive multilateral cooperation.
