In Dinh My commune, the Women's Union has effectively played its role as a bridge, managing entrusted funds from the Social Policy Bank with a total outstanding loan balance of over 16.6 billion VND, providing loans to 477 households. Thanks to strict management, the overdue loan rate of the union has always remained low, at only 0.62%.

A highlight of the women of Dinh My is their innovative entrepreneurial spirit. The association supported the application process for two member businesses to obtain OCOP 3-star certification: Dai Phat dried seafood processing facility and traditional fish sauce production. In addition, the association maintains garment manufacturing and cashew processing groups, providing stable income of 50,000-80,000 VND per day for hundreds of members.

Ms. Huynh Thi Le (60 years old), residing in Trung Phu 3 hamlet, Dinh My commune, is a living example of the effectiveness of financial support from the Women's Union of the commune. Having endured long, arduous days selling lottery tickets on foot with an unstable income, insufficient to cover her children's education, Ms. Le received timely support in the form of a 5 million VND interest-free loan, repayable gradually at 500,000 VND per month.

With this capital, Ms. Le was able to import more lottery tickets to sell, increasing the number from 100 to 150 tickets per day, boosting her income by approximately 150,000 VND per day, enough to cover her children's educational expenses. Not stopping there, she also plans to use the capital to invest in a mobile cart to sell vegetables, meat, and fish, aiming to stabilize her livelihood and improve her health in old age.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Huyen, Head of the Front Committee of Trung Phu 3 hamlet, expressed her delight and appreciation for the practical attention given by the Women's Union of Dinh My commune to its female members at the grassroots level. Ms. Huyen shared her joy that Ms. Le received timely support, enabling her to improve her life. She hoped that the Women's Union at all levels would continue to pay attention and create opportunities for women in similar circumstances to access preferential loans from the Social Policy Bank, enabling them to invest in economic development, creating a solid foundation for stable lives and sustainable poverty alleviation in the locality.

Ms. Tran Thi Man, Chairwoman of the Women's Union of Dinh My commune, said: "Through the model 'Each member - a beautiful gesture, each branch - a meaningful action,' we have mobilized community support to build a house for a disadvantaged member with a budget of 60 million VND and support two women's households to escape poverty sustainably in 2025. This is proof that we prioritize the interests of our members in our community mobilization work."

The Women's Union of Vinh Trach commune's mass mobilization work is also strongly demonstrated through social welfare activities and practical care for poor members and children in difficult circumstances. The Union has mobilized social resources to provide start-up capital and health insurance cards to 17 poor women, and built a new "shelter of love" house with a budget of 30 million VND. In particular, the "Godmother" and "Millions of Gifts Sharing Love" programs have been implemented humanely, providing monthly financial support to orphaned children and donating hundreds of gifts during holidays and festivals.

In addition, the association focuses on supporting women's sustainable economic development and access to digital technology . By maintaining 9 entrusted loan groups and production cooperatives such as chair weaving, broom making, and industrial sewing, the association helps nearly 40 workers earn a stable income of 4-6 million VND per month. Alongside economic development, health and cultural activities such as Tai Chi, volleyball, and traditional music are also widely maintained with 144 members, contributing to building a safe and happy living environment for women and children in Vinh Trach commune.

According to Ms. Nguyen Thi Tham, Chairwoman of the Women's Union of Vinh Trach commune, in 2026, the union will continue to innovate its methods of mass mobilization, focusing on developing new members according to targets and improving the quality of monitoring issues related to women and children. “The union will prioritize mobilizing support for vocational training classes, job placement, and proposing preferential loan sources for disabled and poor women. The core objective is to maintain and expand models of piggy bank savings and rice jars of compassion so that mass mobilization is not just a slogan but becomes practical, humanitarian actions,” Ms. Tham said.

The "Effective Mass Mobilization" emulation movement in Dinh My and Vinh Trach communes is not just a slogan; it has truly permeated daily life, becoming a solid foundation for local women.
