Representatives from the University of Commerce stated that this year's Tet bonus is equivalent to last year's. In 2024, each staff member and lecturer at the university received a Tet bonus of 25 million VND/person and an additional Tet bonus of 5 million VND/person. In addition to the Tet bonus, staff and lecturers at the university also received a 13th month salary.

The Water Resources University announced that this year, the university is distributing an average of 8 million VND in welfare benefits to each staff member and lecturer, the same amount as last year.

“Each staff member and lecturer receives 8 million VND; those who excel in their duties receive a multiplier of 1.2 – meaning a bonus of 9.6 million VND. This benefit level is based on performance evaluations with corresponding multipliers of 0.7, 0.9, 1.1, 1, or 1.2. All individuals are treated equally, without distinction between staff, lecturers, and employees,” this person said.

The University of Technology, Vietnam National University, also gives Tet bonuses to its staff and employees at a level of around 10 million VND, depending on the level of task completion.

At Hanoi University of Science and Technology, lecturers who receive high Tet bonuses also receive around less than 20 million VND.

Many schools in the South are increasing Tet bonuses.

For universities in the South, the policies regarding Tet bonuses have also been officially announced to the management team, lecturers, staff, and employees.

Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry announced that this year, the Lunar New Year bonus will be higher than in 2024. On average, each staff member, lecturer, and employee will receive a Lunar New Year bonus of approximately 40 million VND.

According to the announcement from the Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry and Trade regarding the Lunar New Year bonus for the year 2025 (Year of the Snake), the university will award an equal bonus of 25 million VND per person. In addition, the university will give an extra 3 million VND per person as a New Year's gift, for a total staff of approximately 800 people.

Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology and Education continues to offer Tet bonuses of 25 million VND per person and a performance-based bonus equivalent to one month's salary for each staff member, lecturer, and employee. In addition, a new feature this year is the university's allocation of an extra contribution bonus for each staff member, lecturer, and employee.
