The hillsides covered in the green of pineapples are proving to be the "solution" to increasing income and enriching the lives of farmers in Van Lang commune.

From barren hillsides where crop cultivation was inefficient, farmers in Van Lang focused on improving and planning the land for pineapple cultivation.

After land improvement, it will be covered with plastic sheeting to limit weeds, retain soil moisture, and protect crops from pests and diseases.

Bundles of seedlings of uniform size and weight are selected and transported to the planting site.

Pineapple cultivation techniques are not difficult and are suitable for many unskilled laborers and farmers of all ages.

The tools needed to grow pineapples are also very simple, just a small hoe and gloves to avoid thorns.

Pineapple plants are highly adaptable to a wide variety of soil types and conditions.

Depending on the region, pineapples are planted in 3 or 4 rows per strip for easier care, with a density of about 50,000 plants/hectare.

The barren hillsides have been covered in the green of pineapples.

Farmers regularly water, fertilize, and prune the pineapples to ensure healthy growth and high yields.

The sweet fruits have taken shape.

Alongside pineapple cultivation, flat areas far from residential areas are utilized for livestock farming. This combination of crop farming and animal husbandry maximizes land resources, creates a diversified production model, contributes to increased income, and minimizes risks.

The entire pineapple growing area here has been contracted for product consumption with agricultural production and processing companies. With a contracted selling price of 5,000-6,000 VND/kg, it promises to bring much higher income compared to other crops.
