I am a very happy coach. My job is to teach, to show the way for them. And they have done an excellent job. They are really great. All my players deserve to be congratulated.”

Coach Roland affirmed that the goal of U17 Vietnam is still to keep focused on each match: “I always prepare the players for every situation, and they believe and do it. Today's result proves that we are a very strong team. At this moment, the most important thing is that I am very happy and satisfied. The players did everything I asked and believed in what I taught. Vietnam women's team finalizes list for SEA Games 33

On the afternoon of December 1, the Vietnamese women's team announced the list of 23 players competing at the Southeast Asian Games. The three players who will be part of the team are: Duong Thi Van, Ngan Thi Thanh Hieu, and Vu Thi Hoa. Of which, Duong Thi Van has not fully recovered from her injury. Meanwhile, Ngan Thi Thanh Hieu and Vu Thi Hoa need more time to gain experience.

The squad that coach Mai Duc Chung chose to go to Thailand includes many experienced players who accompanied him in the 2023 World Cup campaign such as: Tran Thi Kim Thanh, Hoang Thi Loan, Le Thi Diem My, Nguyen Thi Bich Thuy, Pham Hai Yen and captain Huynh Nhu.

In addition, coach Mai Duc Chung also gradually transferred the generation, with players born in 2000 and later being given more opportunities to play the "main role". These are Tran Thi Duyen, Tran Thi Hai Linh, Nguyen Thi Thanh Nha, Ngoc Minh Chuyen and Nguyen Thi Thuy Hang.

In the last 4 Congresses, the Vietnamese women's team under the leadership of coach Mai Duc Chung won gold medals. The strategist over 70 years old also hopes to be able to create another milestone in Southeast Asian history with the "Golden Star Female Warriors".

According to the plan, at 8:40 am on December 2, coach Mai Duc Chung and his team will move to Bangkok, then continue to Chonburi. This will be the venue for the women's football matches of the 33rd SEA Games. The team is in the same group with Myanmar, Philippines and Malaysia. Two of the three opponents, Myanmar and Philippines, promise to be a difficult obstacle for Huynh Nhu and her teammates.

“We all know that other countries also invest a lot in their teams, such as naturalizing a lot of athletes, causing difficulties for us because Vietnamese people are short and weak. But in return, we have a quick and agile spirit,” said coach Mai Duc Chung. “The team has also been given many opportunities by the VFF leadership to compete and train abroad with better teams so that we can learn and gain experience. The recent training period in Japan with a number of friendly matches has helped the team improve their skills and confidently aim for the SEA Games with the highest goal.”
