Jesus could leave Arsenal. |
"The Gunners" splashed out on Viktor Gyokeres, Noni Madueke, and Martin Zubimendi in the summer of 2025. And so far, that investment is paying off.
Arsenal lead the Premier League, 4 points ahead of Man City and 8 points ahead of Liverpool. In the Champions League, they, along with Bayern Munich and Inter Milan, are the only three teams to have won all four matches.
However, the heavy spending has forced Arsenal to be cautious in the winter transfer window. Many reserve players need more playing time in a World Cup year, and Arsenal themselves want to streamline their squad to stabilize their wage bill.
According to the Daily Mail , Gabriel Martinelli and Gabriel Jesus are on the list of potential departures. Martinelli has lost his place to Leandro Trossard, having only started two Premier League games this season. If an attractive offer comes along, especially from Saudi Arabia, Arsenal are ready to sit down for negotiations.
Jesus' future is also uncertain. An anterior cruciate ligament injury earlier this year has kept him out of action, while the attack now consists of Kai Havertz and Gyokeres. Arsenal want Jesus to get some playing time before considering selling him in January or the summer.
Young star Ethan Nwaneri could be loaned out if a suitable offer comes along. Conversely, Ben White is also on the transfer list, but Myles Lewis-Skelly will not leave Emirates despite reduced playing time. The 19-year-old defender has lost his starting place to Riccardo Calafiori, but Arteta wants to keep him because Calafiori has recently suffered health problems.
The Daily Mail claims that all four players mentioned above have no long-term future at Emirates and could leave Arsenal as early as summer 2026.
