Bild reports that Endo is attracting strong interest from Eintracht Frankfurt. If they qualify for the Champions League next season, the Bundesliga club may pursue a move to sign Endo from Liverpool.
The German newspaper reported that Frankfurt sees Endo as a "true leader" for their midfield. His international and Bundesliga experience is a major plus for the Japanese international. In the past, he played 133 matches for Stuttgart.
This season, Endo has played 26 games in all competitions for Liverpool. However, under Arne Slot, the Japanese international is not guaranteed a starting place. At 32 years old, Endo also struggles to compete with Mac Allister, Ryan Gravenberch, or Szoboszlai in midfield. Liverpool are reportedly open to offers for Endo in the near future.
Endo's contract with Liverpool runs until 2027. The two sides have yet to negotiate an extension. Liverpool previously rejected an £11.8 million offer from Marseille last summer to buy Endo.
Despite not getting regular playing time under manager Slot, Endo still won the hearts of Liverpool fans. He shared: "This season, when I've been on the pitch, Liverpool fans have always supported me. They often leave comments on my social media. I really feel their affection."
During the recent international break, Endo became the first Liverpool player to qualify for the 2026 World Cup, following Japan's 2-0 victory over Bahrain.
