Accordingly, the 8 plots of land offered for auction have a total area of over 138,000 square meters, located in the Thu Thiem New Urban Area, An Khanh ward.
Among the land plots offered for auction, two urban-grade service land plots, totaling nearly 10.7 hectares, account for the majority of the auctioned land: plot 7-1, covering over 74,390 m2, and plot 1-12, covering nearly 32,000 m2.
The remaining six plots range in size from 700 m2 to over 10,000 m2, primarily consisting of residential and mixed-use residential-commercial land in functional zone 3. This group of land is suitable for developing apartment, commercial, and service projects within the Thu Thiem urban core.
The land plots are located in the heart of Thu Thiem – an urban area envisioned to become Ho Chi Minh City's new financial, commercial, and service center. The auction is expected to attract investors to participate in the development of large-scale housing, commercial, and service projects.
Relevant departments and units will finalize the auction plan, determine the starting price, and select the auction organizer. The process is carried out in four stages, from preparing documents, organizing the auction, recognizing the results, to handing over the land to the winning bidder after fulfilling their financial obligations.
The auction results not only reflect the level of investor interest in the Thu Thiem area, but can also provide further signals about capital flow trends and land price levels in the city's new central area.
The Thu Thiem New Urban Area, with a scale of 930 hectares, was approved in 1996 and is located on the eastern bank of the Saigon River, opposite the former District 1 center. According to the new plan, this area will develop into a modern international financial, commercial, service, and administrative center of Ho Chi Minh City.
