Besides its beautiful beaches, Binh Dinh also boasts many attractive destinations for budget-conscious travelers . A single day exploring Go Boi (Phuoc Hoa commune, Tuy Phuoc district) will offer you many interesting experiences. As a heads-up, if you plan a visit, be sure to pay attention to the rich historical traces still present in this area.
Not far from the center of Quy Nhon city, Go Boi – the center of Phuoc Hoa commune – is an interesting destination for tourists to explore. An old Binh Dinh folk song describes it as: "Go Boi on the wharf, boats docked one after another along the canal ," a bustling market town that played an important role in the Nuoc Man port area hundreds of years ago. Today, Go Boi is still lively and bustling, yet retains the peaceful beauty of a rural village.

When visiting Go Boi, the first place to stop is Binh Lam Tower (dating from the 10th-11th centuries) and Binh Lam flower village in Binh Lam hamlet (Phuoc Hoa commune). Binh Lam Tower is one of the earliest Cham towers built in Binh Dinh. The tower is named Binh Lam (meaning "conquering the dense forest") because in the past, this area was a swampy region. When people came to clear the dense, wild forest land and turn it into agricultural land, they named it Binh Lam hamlet. And from the name Binh Lam of the hamlet, the tower was named.
Near Binh Lam Tower is Thien Truc Pagoda. Although small, the pagoda boasts a peaceful setting. Upon entering the gate, one immediately sees Champa stone sculptures related to Binh Lam Tower. Visiting the pagoda, one easily finds peace of mind as the tranquil countryside seems to permeate the temple grounds.
Just a few hundred meters from Thien Truc Pagoda is Binh Lam flower village. These days, the villagers are planting flowers for the Lunar New Year of the Year of the Snake 2025. Strolling around the flower village and chatting with the locals is also interesting, as you gain a better understanding of the people's lives and the cultural beauty of this place.

Heading towards Go Boi Bridge, you'll see bustling city streets at both ends, a stark contrast to the tranquil countryside within. From the bridge's end on the DT 640 road, turn left and drive into Huu Thanh village (Phuoc Hoa commune). Near Truong The Bridge, you'll encounter Truong The Market, with its preserved old architecture and surrounding ancient houses.
On the other side of the Go Boi bridge – along road 636B leading from Go Boi to Phuoc Quang and Phuoc Hung communes (Tuy Phuoc) and An Nhon town – new houses are springing up close together along the Go Boi river. In the distance, the tranquil Go Boi river flows downstream to its final destination, emptying into Thi Nai lagoon ; giant wind turbines are shrouded in mist, creating a picturesque landscape.

In that scenic landscape, Vinh Thanh Church, located about 200 meters from Go Boi Bridge, casts its reflection onto the river, exuding a peaceful beauty; not far away is the Memorial House of poet Xuan Dieu, currently undergoing reconstruction with many new features. Upon completion, it will add another destination for tourists visiting Go Boi - the maternal hometown of poet Xuan Dieu.
