Trump Mobile's T1 Phone was initially announced in June 2025 and was expected to launch in August or September 2025. After a delay, the company said it might launch in late January 2026, but that also didn't happen.
The Verge reporter Dominic Preston spoke with Don Hendrickson and Eric Thomas, two of the three executives running Trump Mobile. The representatives revealed a near-final version of the T1 phone.
Accordingly, the T1 logo will still appear on the back as in the earlier versions, but it will be removed later. The American flag at the bottom of the device, as well as the distinctive gold finish, will remain.
Preston noted that the difference from the model released eight months ago is clearly visible. The triangular camera cluster reminiscent of the iPhone has been replaced with three vertically arranged lenses in a black oval island, alongside the words "Trump Mobile." A closer look reveals that the lenses are not evenly spaced.
This phone also differs in a few respects from the revised specifications that appeared on the Trump Mobile website a few weeks after its initial announcement. It looks larger, with a curved screen that appears closer to the initially promised 6.78-inch size than the later-released 6.25-inch model.
The device will be equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 series processor, commonly used in mid-range devices, along with a 5,000 mAh battery, 512 GB of internal storage, and support for microSD cards up to 1 TB. Company representatives stated that both the selfie camera and the main rear camera will use 50-megapixel sensors.

"This actual phone has specifications on par with the top-of-the-line models on the market this year," Thomas said. These are also upgraded specifications compared to the original model.
Both leaders have promised a relaunch in the coming weeks. The website will be updated with images of the finalized phone version, along with a specifications sheet.
However, the devices are only fully assembled, not entirely manufactured, in the US. Thomas said the process involves assembling about 10 final components.
To be labeled "made in the USA," a product must meet certain standards set and monitored by the U.S. Federal Trade Commission (FTC). Instead, the Trump Mobile website currently only commits to "having an American hand behind every device," and Thomas says they phrase it this way to be transparent and avoid misleading consumers.
He admitted that some content was mistakenly posted to the website at launch, specifically a large banner on the homepage and a press release stating "Made in the USA." "But since then we've almost completely avoided that wording," Thomas said.
Nevertheless, the two leaders stated their goal is to assemble the T1 Phone entirely in the US, and they are working towards this for future phone models. One example is the T1 Ultra, but no further details have been revealed.
