Promoting industrial development, supporting the development of rural industrial production facilities, and diversifying industries and services are measures that Dong Nai province is actively implementing.

Rural industries are experiencing breakthrough development.

Over the years, businesses and handicraft establishments in the province have consistently strived to find markets for their products, gradually affirming their quality and brand, and reaching out to connect, cooperate, and integrate with the world .

For example, the Ba Tu Binh Phuoc Cashew brand of Gia Bao Group Joint Stock Company has proudly received certifications as a typical rural industrial product with many different product lines. In 2025 alone, the company's products, including cashews with skin, peeled cashews, dried macadamia nuts, and garlic chili cashews, were certified as typical rural products at the national level.

According to Mr. Tran Van Son, Director of Gia Bao Group Joint Stock Company, the enterprise has developed hundreds of hectares of cashew trees for raw materials and aims to expand to over 1,000 hectares by 2030, while simultaneously building a comprehensive and systematic production chain.

Similarly, Trong Duc Cocoa Co., Ltd. (Phu Hoa commune) is known as one of Vietnam's largest cocoa growers and processors. This company pioneered the large-scale farming model, closely integrating production and consumption processes since 2015. To date, the cocoa cultivation area has reached over 700 hectares in Dong Nai province and several neighboring provinces and cities.

According to Mr. Dang Tuong Khanh, Director of Trong Duc Cocoa Co., Ltd., the company has more than 50 processed agricultural products, primarily cocoa. The company continues to focus on investing in deep processing and diversifying products to increase the value of this crop.

Despite its potential and numerous successful examples of development, the province's rural industries still face limitations. Specifically, although the number of establishments is relatively large, the value of rural industrial production accounts for only 9% of the province's total industrial production value. Household businesses constitute the majority of rural industries, therefore, government support, particularly industrial promotion policies, is urgently needed to foster sustainable development.

Focus on industrial promotion solutions.

Over the past period, the Dong Nai Industrial Promotion and Development Consulting Center, based on its assigned functions and tasks, has implemented many industrial promotion solutions in the province. Industrial promotion activities focus on priority support, leveraging comparative advantages and strengths in resources at each locality, such as raw materials, markets, and labor. Support measures are carefully selected to ensure focus, targeted action, and widespread impact, aiming to create a significant transformation in the development of industrial establishments in the province.

To promote the development of rural industries and implement industrial promotion policies, on August 27, 2025, the Government issued Decree 235/2025/ND-CP amending and supplementing a number of articles of Decree No. 45/2012/ND-CP, dated May 21, 2012, on industrial promotion, which came into effect on October 15, 2025. One of the important points of this decree is the redefinition of the beneficiaries of the policy.

Accordingly, the groups eligible for industrial promotion policies include: small and medium-sized enterprises, cooperatives, and business households directly investing in industrial and handicraft production in communes, wards, and special zones; and production facilities applying cleaner production and sustainable production and consumption. In addition, businesses and cooperatives investing in the construction of industrial cluster infrastructure; folk artisans and outstanding artisans in the field of handicrafts; and domestic and international organizations and individuals participating in industrial promotion services will also receive support.

Specifically in 2025, the industrial promotion program will focus on eight key projects: learning from experience, improving management capacity, applying advanced machinery, selecting outstanding rural industrial products, participating in trade fairs and exhibitions, improving organizational and implementation capacity, maintaining showrooms, and promoting industrial promotion.

In late November 2025, the province organized the Southeast Region - Dong Nai 2025 Exhibition of Typical Rural Industrial Products. This was an important event, bringing many practical values to businesses, consumers, and the development of the industry and trade sector in the Southeast region. The exhibition had a scale of 250 booths with the participation of 115 units nationwide. Of these, Dong Nai province had 25 participating units with 60 booths.

Mr. Tran Minh Dat, Director of the Dong Nai Industrial Promotion and Development Consulting Center, said: The fair attracted 10,000 visitors and shoppers, with estimated revenue of approximately 10 billion VND. The Center will continue to strive to coordinate with relevant units to implement activities concretely in order to improve the effectiveness of industrial promotion policies in the province.

According to Mr. Van Huu Dong, Deputy Director of the Department of Industry and Trade, one of the important tasks of the sector is to build and perfect the system of regulations and procedures for industrial promotion activities at the local level. For the period 2026-2030, a plan will be developed that aligns with the provincial industrial development plan until 2030, with a vision to 2050. Regarding the tasks of the Dong Nai Industrial Promotion and Development Consulting Center, it needs to proactively connect with rural industrial enterprises, implement specific support policies, and help rural industrial enterprises develop sustainably.
