The workshop was attended by 100 delegates, including Ambassadors, representatives of diplomatic agencies, international organizations, foreign cultural centers in Vietnam, numerous researchers, cultural managers, artists, domestic and international experts, representatives from several localities, and media organizations.
In his opening remarks, Comrade Le Hai Binh, Alternate Member of the Central Committee of the Party, Permanent Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism, affirmed that the conference is of đặc biệt importance. This is a forum for managers, researchers, and cultural experts from Vietnam and abroad to exchange, discuss, share experiences, and propose creative ideas and solutions to assess the current situation and identify opportunities and challenges in Vietnam's current process of international cultural integration.

The workshop deepened understanding of the role and importance of culture in the process of international integration, enhancing national standing and promoting sustainable development, especially in the context of Vietnam facing a historical juncture, preparing to enter a new era of national progress. Furthermore, it aimed to strengthen international cooperation in the cultural field, learn from the experiences of countries around the world, and develop practical cooperation programs and projects, particularly in the process of internationalizing domestic culture and internalizing the finest international cultural values. The workshop also proposed specific orientations, strategies, and solutions to effectively promote international cultural integration and strongly enhance the role of culture in Vietnam's new era.
At the workshop, the Director of the Department of International Cooperation, Nguyen Phuong Hoa, also reported on the Project "Internationalization of Vietnamese Culture and Vietnamization of International Culture," emphasizing the necessity, legal basis, and theoretical foundation for developing the Project. The report presented recommendations, viewpoints, objectives, and tasks to be implemented in the process of internationalizing Vietnamese culture and Vietnamization of international culture in the coming period. The report also proposed key solutions for implementation, including institutional, mechanism, and policy solutions; human resource development; increased investment and resource mobilization; communication and awareness raising; innovation in content and form of activities; and expansion of international cooperation.

At the workshop, delegates participated in two discussion sessions: “International Experiences and Suggestions for Solutions for Vietnam” and “Comments, Proposals on Tasks and Solutions”. Besides sharing experiences in strengthening international integration and cooperation in culture in general, internationalizing domestic culture, and internalizing international cultural values, delegates also proposed numerous solutions to improve and implement the Project on “Internationalization of Vietnamese Culture and Vietnamization of International Culture”.
Notably, many opinions suggested the need to improve policies on public-private partnerships, build specific mechanisms for high-quality cultural works and products, apply science and technology, especially Artificial Intelligence (AI), and promote the role of cultural industries. Some delegates proposed that the Project focus on telling the story of Vietnam, thereby using culture as an effective tool to promote and introduce unique and captivating stories about the country and its people, contributing to enhancing national "soft power," bringing Vietnam to the world and bringing the world to Vietnam.
