The event, jointly organized by the Central Office for New Rural Development Coordination and the Hanoi Office for New Rural Development Coordination - Hanoi Department of Agriculture and Environment, affirms the synchronicity and strong determination of both the central government and localities in developing the One Commune One Product (OCOP) program.
The Vietnam OCOP Festival 2025 is a practical activity to celebrate the achievements of the Capital and the country in 2025, and to celebrate the Party and the Lunar New Year of the Horse 2026. The program aims to promote the values and achievements of OCOP after more than 7 years of implementation, affirming its important role and contributing to realizing Vietnam's aspiration to rise in the context of integration.
The Festival aims to promptly recognize and honor the achievements of the OCOP program in conjunction with digital transformation and green transformation; to guide the approach and development requirements of OCOP products in the future. At the same time, the event promotes and celebrates OCOP products and exemplary entities, fostering pride, spreading awareness, and showcasing Vietnamese cultural values, contributing to the promotion of entrepreneurship and rural economic development.
In particular, through the theme "Unleashing Potential - Connecting Values - Sustainable Development," the Festival will promote connections and exchanges in the production and trade of OCOP products between localities nationwide and internationally, foster value chain linkages, enhance the competitiveness of Vietnamese products, create a space for innovation, share experiences, and encourage innovation in products and packaging.
To date, the OCOP program has demonstrated its strategic vision, transforming abundant resources and the diligent, creative qualities of the workforce into sustainable competitive advantages. Nationwide, 18,243 OCOP products have achieved 3 stars or higher, establishing a standardized quality system, thereby consolidating and affirming the Vietnamese National Brand.
The socio-economic impact of the One Commune One Product (OCOP) program is extremely evident: it has promoted a shift in production mindset from small-scale to value chain linkages; statistics show that 60.7% of OCOP producers achieving 3 stars or higher have seen an average annual revenue growth of 17.6%, creating a "multi-value" rural economic ecosystem. OCOP also opens up avenues for sustainable livelihood development, attracting 40% of producers to be women and 19.6% to be ethnic minorities. Many products have reached the global market, exported to over 60 countries, affirming the position of Vietnamese agricultural products.
Furthermore, the Vietnam OCOP Festival 2025 is also an opportunity to honor the leading role of Hanoi, the pioneer and most successful city of this program, with 3,463 products recognized with 3 stars or more. Hanoi maintains its position as a center for the convergence of excellence and a strategic hub for connecting OCOP products to the world.
The main purpose of this series of activities is to honor OCOP products as well as the entities that have achieved outstanding results, encourage innovation in line with the OCOP strategic direction for 2026-2030, focusing on quality, sustainability, digital transformation, and development according to the regional value chain model. Each OCOP product on display is a "Cultural Ambassador" carrying within it the pride of "Made in Vietnam".
The Vietnam OCOP Festival 2025 is a comprehensive event encompassing economic, cultural, and social activities, including the following main events: The Festival Opening Ceremony and the special art program "OCOP - Connecting the Quintessence," honoring national cultural values and OCOP, taking place at 7:30 PM on December 20, 2025; Honoring outstanding national OCOP entities; The forum "Improving Quality, Developing OCOP Products" to discuss strategies for brand building, intellectual property management, and participation in the modern trade system; The "Vietnam Convergence and Dissemination" exhibition space, bringing together regional OCOP zones, 5-star OCOP zones, handicraft zones, and unique culinary experience areas; The International OCOP and Digital Transformation space, establishing an exhibition area for OCOP products and similar products from other countries, linked to the development of smart, green, and distinctive rural tourism.
