In the final days of 2025, within the campus of An Giang 1 Vocational School, the colors of graduation gowns mingled with the radiant smiles of many young people. The vocational diploma marked the end of their studies, opening new doors for them to enter life. The joy of Danh Thi Tuyet Nhi, a Khmer girl residing in Long Thanh commune, is a vivid example. On November 21st, upon receiving her diploma with a good grade in office computer skills, Nhi expressed: “After graduation, I want to go to Japan to test my abilities. With what I’ve learned at school, I believe I can do it.”

Thanks to its training model closely linked to businesses, the school consistently maintains a high employment rate for its graduates. Danh Hien Loc, a resident of Dinh Hoa commune, found a job locally after completing a car repair technology course, with a starting salary of 8 million VND per month. This is a source of pride for the young man, as he has been able to stand on his own two feet.

Focus on improving skills.

According to Mr. Do Anh Khoa, Principal of An Giang 1 Vocational College, the school currently has 6 campuses, training over 4,100 vocational students and more than 5,000 short-term students. From engineering and technology to agriculture , construction, economics, tourism, and foreign languages, all fields are equipped with modern practice rooms. Classes are designed with a focus on practical application alongside theory, helping students quickly master their chosen profession.

Over the years, thanks to funding from the national target program for socio-economic development in ethnic minority and mountainous areas, the school has received attention and investment from the province, upgrading its facilities and practical equipment to become increasingly modern. “Most of the students are from ethnic minority groups and live far from home, so the school creates a safe and friendly boarding environment so they can focus on their studies and develop their skills. These seemingly simple things are invaluable assets for students to successfully build their careers,” said Mr. Do Anh Khoa.
