To ensure the plan's successful implementation, the District Police established two task forces, including one mobile team, to install and activate the VNeID electronic identification application for residents in the area, guaranteeing citizens' rights and interests when integrating and using online electronic utilities.
With a high sense of responsibility, the police force from the district to the grassroots level was very enthusiastic, dedicated, and committed, explaining to the people the necessity of activating their Level 2 electronic identification accounts; supporting and assisting people in activating their Level 2 electronic identification accounts, especially those who had not yet activated their accounts on their smartphones. In particular, the district police and the police in communes and towns were on duty throughout the holiday, operating from 7 AM to 10 PM every day of the week, including Saturdays and Sundays, making it convenient for citizens working far from home to get their electronic identification activated during the April 30th and May 1st holidays.
The Thoi Binh District Police have established teams to coordinate with local authorities to go door-to-door to guide and install electronic identification systems for residents.
Mr. Doan Thanh Khai, Deputy Head of Thoi Binh District Police, said: “Over the course of implementation, the results have reached over 50%. For elderly and infirm people, or those who find it inconvenient to travel, we instruct the use of personal motorcycles and district police motorcycles, or hire motorboats to transport them to and from their homes to the electronic identification card issuance point. For citizens who cannot travel, we instruct the task force to go to their homes to issue electronic identification cards.”
In addition, the District Police Command established 6 working groups, each led by a team leader from the district police's professional units, to coordinate with the police in communes and towns to go to each household to disseminate information and encourage participation. They directed district police youth union members to coordinate with youth union members in communes and towns and local authorities to go directly to the area, conduct surveys, and provide guidance and support to residents in installing electronic identification systems.
Mr. Trieu Hoang Anh, a police officer from Thoi Binh district, said: “The district police, in coordination with agencies and departments in the area, went to each household to encourage people to implement and support the installation of electronic identification. Through this campaign and propaganda, the people have shown their support. They understand the importance of installing electronic identification and integrating all relevant documents into the citizen identity card to serve their daily lives.”
With the decisive solutions implemented, the Thoi Binh District Police are determined to accelerate progress to complete the target of installing electronic identification accounts set by the Ministry of Public Security and the Provincial Police, creating favorable conditions for citizens when participating in civil transactions, as well as other utility groups in the national digital transformation goal. Thanks to increased propaganda, currently at the district police headquarters and commune/town police stations throughout the district, many citizens come every day to complete procedures for installing, activating, and upgrading electronic identification accounts.
The teams are on duty throughout the day, including Saturdays and Sundays, to make it convenient for people to get things done.
According to statistics from the Thoi Binh District Police, to date, the entire district has guided the installation and activation of over 40,000 out of 73,000 level 1 and 2 electronic identity verification accounts, reaching over 54%. People are gradually becoming aware of the positive effects of installing electronic identity verification and have proactively and willingly participated.
Mr. Le Duy, from Hamlet 2, Thoi Binh town, shared: “After hearing the officials encourage me to update my information to create an electronic identity account, I came here and received assistance from the staff in downloading the app. After installation, all the necessary documents such as my driver's license, registration certificate, household registration... are clearly displayed on my phone. I find the application very convenient; if I lose them, it's very easy to get replacements, and the information can be stored for a long time.”
For the installation of electronic identification to be effective, it requires not only efforts from relevant agencies but also the cooperation of the people. Every citizen should proactively go to the police station in their place of residence to exercise their rights and fulfill their civic duties, install electronic identification, and contribute to the successful implementation of the Government 's Project "Development of data applications on population, electronic identification and authentication to serve the national digital transformation in the period 2022-2025, with a vision to 2030" (Project 06).
