The surroundings of the Au Co Mother Goddess Temple are solemn, clean, and beautiful.

With 87 historical and cultural heritage sites, including 21 classified sites (7 national-level and 14 provincial-level), Ha Hoa proudly boasts outstanding spiritual destinations such as the Au Co Mother Goddess Temple and the national treasure statue of Mother Au Co, Chu Hung Temple, and Nghe Temple - Dong Communal House... Revolutionary historical sites such as the Van - Hien Luong War Zone and the Dai Pham War Zone 10 also bear witness to the heroic past of the entire nation. Intangible cultural heritage such as the Mother Goddess worship belief and the Chu Hung Temple Festival further enrich the local cultural identity.

Besides its historical and cultural value, Ha Hoa's natural landscape is also a highlight, with captivating scenic spots such as the clear blue Ao Chau Lake, the romantic Van Hoi Lake, and the mystical Ao Gioi - Suoi Tien (Heavenly Pond - Fairy Stream). As a semi-mountainous region with low hills, a dense network of lakes and ponds, and the Red River flowing through it, Ha Hoa is blessed with fertile land and a mild climate. All these factors combine to create abundant potential for Ha Hoa to develop ecotourism, resort tourism, and spiritual tourism focusing on its origins. This is a key strength for this mountainous district to develop its "non-polluting industry," making a significant contribution to the transformation of the local labor and economic structure.

During the annual festival, the Au Co Mother Temple is a prominent spiritual destination in Ha Hoa district and Phu Tho province.

The period from 2021 to 2025 witnessed continuous efforts and remarkable achievements in Ha Hoa's tourism development. The district government consistently directed and innovated its promotional and advertising activities, both in form and content. The government also paid special attention to building a legal framework and planning for tourism. Many plans and policies were issued to attract investors to key projects such as the Ao Chau Cultural, Sports and Golf Course urban area, and rural residential areas combined with eco-tourism resorts. Support for communes and towns in restoring and preserving historical sites and organizing traditional festivals not only preserves cultural values but also creates attractive tourism products. A prime example is the collaboration in building a scientific dossier to recognize the Au Co Mother Goddess Temple as a provincial-level cultural tourism site, and the ongoing process of completing the dossier for the Au Co Mother Goddess Temple to become a special national historical site. These efforts have contributed to elevating destinations and providing a more professional experience for tourists.

The impressive figures clearly reflect the development of tourism in Ha Hoa during this period. The number of overnight visitors surged from 18,000 in 2021 to approximately 45,000 in 2024, far exceeding the set plan. Along with this, total revenue from tourism and services also increased from 3.2 billion VND to approximately 25 billion VND during the same period. Currently, more than 700 people are directly and indirectly involved in the tourism industry, creating livelihoods and contributing to improving the lives of local people.

To meet the growing demands of tourists and ensure sustainable development, Ha Hoa places special emphasis on diversifying tourism products and improving infrastructure. Traditional agricultural products such as Yen Ky green tea, Y Son bamboo shoots, Gia Dien honey, Bien Xanh cantaloupe, and Xuan Ang dried jackfruit are not only displayed at fairs but also widely promoted, contributing to enhancing the value of local crafts and the local economy. The OCOP program has also achieved significant success with 20 products recognized, affirming the quality and brand of Ha Hoa's agricultural products. Another innovative approach is developing educational tourism, transforming historical sites into practical educational destinations, helping students learn about their history and cultural roots in a vivid way.

Tourism infrastructure has also received significant investment. Currently, Ha Hoa has 21 accommodation establishments, including 1 hotel and 20 guesthouses, ready to welcome tourists. The transportation system has also been significantly improved, with the upgrading of national highways and especially the inter-regional road project connecting DT321B - QL70B to the Ao Gioi - Suoi Tien tourist area, Au Co Mother Temple and IC11 interchange, with a total investment of 375 billion VND. This vital road has helped Ha Hoa easily connect with other provinces and cities, opening its doors to tourists from all over the country.

The protection, preservation, and promotion of tourism resources and the tourism environment are always given top priority. Deteriorating historical sites are carefully restored and renovated, ensuring the preservation of their original value. Simultaneously, strict management of natural resources and guidance on rational exploitation to avoid environmental pollution are key factors for sustainable development. Security, order, and environmental hygiene in the tourism area are also absolutely ensured, creating a civilized, safe, friendly, and hospitable tourism environment. The capacity of state management of tourism in Ha Hoa has also significantly improved, with staff receiving regular professional training, contributing to building an image of the elegant and hospitable people of Ha Hoa.

Awareness of the role of sustainable tourism has been raised throughout the political system and among the people. Ha Hoa is gradually developing unique tourism products, especially cultural and spiritual tourism and traditional festivals, creating a strong impression on visitors. The steady growth in the number of tourists visiting Ha Hoa year after year is clear evidence of the rise of a land rich in potential, ready for even more breakthroughs in the future.
