In Minh Chieng Hamlet 2, a nearly 900-meter-long road is being rapidly widened, much to the delight of the local people. Previously, the road was only about 3 meters wide, narrow, and in poor condition, making travel and transportation of agricultural products difficult, especially during the rainy season.

Today, the road has been widened to 5 meters, meeting traffic requirements and facilitating production and trade. To obtain the land for the project, nearly 30 households in the village donated land and dismantled their auxiliary structures, with Mr. Luc Van Loi's family being one of the exemplary households.
His family donated approximately 30 square meters of land and proactively dismantled their livestock pens to make way for road expansion.

This simple, sincere way of speaking reflects the shared mindset of many households in Minh Chieng: the long-term benefit of the community is more important than the immediate benefit of each family. This understanding has created a high level of consensus, helping the project implementation process to proceed quickly and smoothly.
According to Mr. Luc Van Lam, head of Minh Chieng Hamlet 2, the propaganda and persuasion efforts played a particularly important role in achieving almost complete consensus during the road expansion project that passed through many households. Some difficulties only arose in households with permanent outbuildings, but after being clearly explained the long-term benefits, the residents gradually agreed and voluntarily dismantled them.
In reality, publicly announcing policies, ensuring transparency in implementation plans, listening to people's opinions, and persistently disseminating information have helped local authorities strengthen trust. When people understand that they are the direct beneficiaries, they are willing to work together with the government to implement the policies.

The approach taken by Minh Luong commune clearly demonstrates the principle of "the State and the people working together" in rural infrastructure development. Accordingly, the State provides essential materials such as cement, sand, and gravel; the people contribute labor and donate land. This clear division of responsibilities effectively mobilizes resources from the people and fosters a strong bond between the government and the community.

According to Mr. Phuong, the most important thing is not to do things quickly, but to do them well and sustainably, so that each project truly delivers effective results and serves the long-term socio -economic development of the locality.
When roads are expanded, the benefits extend beyond convenient travel; smooth traffic flow allows agricultural products to be transported faster, reducing costs and increasing product value. People have the opportunity to expand production and develop livestock farming and crop cultivation towards a commercial scale.
At the same time, connecting villages also contributes to promoting economic and cultural exchange, gradually improving the material and spiritual lives of the people.

Not stopping at just building roads, Minh Luong commune also mobilized social resources to install lighting systems, security cameras, and construct "bright, green, clean, and beautiful" roads. These new roads are therefore not only spacious and safe but also contribute to changing the face of the rural highlands.
From the practical implementation in Minh Chieng, it is clear that when the people are truly placed at the center, involved in discussions, participate in implementation, and benefit from policies, then all policies can be implemented naturally and effectively.

The story of road construction in Minh Luong is not entirely new, but the systematic, persistent approach, based on high levels of public consensus, has made a distinct impact. It's not just about widening roads; it's also about a change in mindset and awareness within the community regarding their responsibilities and rights in building a new rural area.
“Having roads means having everything! From small roads in villages and hamlets, a major direction is gradually taking shape: developing infrastructure in conjunction with leveraging internal resources. This is a solid foundation for Minh Luong to create breakthroughs in socio-economic development, gradually narrowing the gap between the highlands and lowlands,” shared the Secretary of the Minh Luong Commune Party Committee.
These roads, built with the sweat, effort, and unity of the people, will continue to open up new directions for a prosperous, developed, and sustainable future.
