The 2025 Workers' Month, themed "The Vietnamese Working Class Pioneering into a New Era," aims to emphasize the role of the working class in the period of reform and integration, promote innovation, and strongly foster the spirit of lifelong learning to meet the demands of the labor market in the new situation.
In the era of Industry 4.0, the labor market is undergoing many changes, presenting both opportunities and challenges for the workforce. In this context, the working class needs to proactively innovate and continue to play a leading role in the industrialization and modernization of the country.
At the 13th Congress of the Vietnam Trade Union, for the term 2023-2028, several important targets and tasks were set, including striving for at least 65% of workers in enterprises to participate in training to improve their professional skills and qualifications.
To achieve the assigned targets, the Provincial Labor Union (PLU) has developed a plan and program titled "Promoting lifelong learning activities for workers in enterprises by 2030"; directed all levels of trade unions to encourage enterprises to organize training courses to improve knowledge and skills for workers; organized the signing and launching of emulation movements such as "Excellent Workers, Creative Workers", "Learning to improve all aspects, meeting the requirements of industrialization and modernization"... creating a regular movement linked to the goals, productivity, and quality of activities of each unit and enterprise.
In line with the theme of Workers' Month 2025, the Provincial Labor Union is implementing the program "Creative Workers, Confidently Stepping into a New Era". Accordingly, it directs all levels of trade unions to focus on promoting activities to encourage union members and workers to study and improve their skills; organize competitions to propose ideas, initiatives, technical solutions, and innovations in production processes. At the same time, it honors and commends workers with outstanding achievements in labor and production, those with many initiatives and innovations, and those who achieve high results in skilled worker competitions.
Besides the efforts of trade unions at all levels, many businesses have proactively encouraged and motivated workers to enthusiastically innovate and create in production, based on the principle that "labor is the greatest asset of the enterprise".
Starting with its main business of collaborating on projects to train mechanics and teaching mechanical engineering software to students, CNCTech Group Joint Stock Company, located in Thang Long Industrial Park (Binh Xuyen), prioritizes investment in technology application, new product development, and production optimization. In addition to this, CNCTech Group Joint Stock Company always focuses on investing in its people.
Every year, the company organizes training courses to improve the skills of its production workforce; it also launches a skilled technical competition with the theme "Innovation and creativity are the driving force for development" to encourage the spirit of innovation and creativity among employees, creating new momentum for the next phase.
Comrade Mai Van Hung, Chairman of the Trade Union of CNCTech Group Joint Stock Company, shared: “In the context of fierce market competition and stringent customer requirements, improving the skills and qualifications of the workforce plays a decisive role in the success and establishment of a solid position for the enterprise. Recognizing this, in addition to focusing on training, CNCTech Group Joint Stock Company regularly organizes technical skills competitions. This is not only a platform for employees to proactively hone their skills, demonstrate their thinking ability, creativity, and innovative spirit, but also contributes to improving work efficiency.”
With a spirit of self-learning and a strong will to succeed, many workers have proactively studied and improved their skills. Thanks to her perseverance in learning Chinese and her responsible work ethic, Ms. Tran Thi Yen was highly appreciated by the Board of Directors of Compal Vietnam Co., Ltd. (Binh Xuyen) and was appointed as Production Team Leader.
Ms. Yen shared: “Initially, I learned Chinese to understand the basic instructions on the machinery to facilitate operation, but gradually it became a passion. I use my free time to study and improve. Now, I can not only listen and understand but also confidently communicate directly with foreign managers.”
To promote a strong spirit of lifelong learning among the workforce, in the coming period, relevant levels and sectors need to coordinate in building a flexible training system with diverse forms and content to help workers learn according to their needs, level, and abilities.
Strengthen communication efforts to change employers' perceptions regarding the organization of training courses to improve workers' skills; encourage businesses to proactively arrange and set up bookshelf areas in the rest areas of the factory.
In addition, trade union organizations at all levels continue to promote the "Excellent Worker, Creative Worker" emulation movements among union members and workers; encouraging and honoring outstanding and exemplary individuals in labor and production.
