The Hanoi Department of Transport has proposed to the Hanoi People's Committee the construction of five new lightweight steel overpasses to alleviate traffic congestion and improve traffic connectivity.

The Hanoi Department of Transport has proposed the construction of five lightweight overpass projects at the following intersections: Chau Van Liem – Le Quang Dao (Nam Tu Liem district); Co Linh - Thach Ban (Long Bien district); Hoang Minh Giam - Nguyen Tuan (Thanh Xuan district); Co Bi – Ngo Xuan Quang (Gia Lam district); and Nguyen Huy Nhuan – Ly Thanh Tong (Gia Lam district).

Among these, according to the Hanoi Department of Transport, the Co Linh - Thach Ban intersection experiences a high volume of traffic during peak hours, especially after the completion of the Vinh Tuy 2 bridge.

Meanwhile, the low level of compliance with traffic laws among some people has caused traffic congestion.

At this intersection, the Department of Transport is currently piloting a traffic organization adjustment to prohibit vehicles from turning left from Co Linh Street onto Thach Ban Street and to redirect vehicles to alleys 541 Bat Khoi, 33 Co Linh, and 191 Thach Ban to reduce traffic pressure.

In addition, adjust the traffic light cycle to match the traffic organization plan; and deploy personnel to guide and direct traffic flow.

The remaining locations are also areas with high traffic volume, frequently experiencing congestion during peak hours. Constructing lightweight overpasses is an effective solution to alleviate congestion at these intersections.
