Although the program "Night Remembering Trinh Cong Son" does not take place until 8pm, from 7pm, many people and tourists have gathered at the stage in the An Hoi Sculpture Garden area.

The excitement is not only because the program has the participation of famous singer Anh Tuyet - a native of Hoi An or singers Quynh Lan, My Dung, Phuong Vy, Phi Thuy Hanh... but also comes from the love of the audience and tourists for Trinh's music.

In the chilly weather of late spring, on the banks of the Hoai River, Trinh's songs sound even more ethereal and soulful. "I lull you to sleep", "Calling the four seasons", "Let's love each other", "The boundless life", "Afternoon alone through the street"... make the space suddenly become light, drifting silently amidst the shimmering old town.

Interspersed with the charming and captivating piano and saxophone medleys of Trinh music, the long applause after each performance of the artists and singers was an affirmation of the quality of the program.

The attraction is also shown through the way MC Chien Thang leads. With a warm, sweet voice, he tells the story of Trinh's musical journey, in which each song seems to be associated with a figure, a love affair and memories of the talented musician.

Singer Anh Tuyet shared that her initial idea was just to create a small music corner on the banks of the Hoai River to commemorate Trinh Cong Son, but with the support and encouragement of artists and colleagues, the music night became a space of nostalgia, where audiences and tourists sublimate in timeless songs.

“Today, although I am very tired and hoarse due to health reasons, I don't even think I can sing, but I have tried my best to make "Night Remembering Trinh Cong Son" a complete success" - famous singer Anh Tuyet confided.

Not disappointing the audience, singer Anh Tuyet performed two consecutive songs “Dau Chan Dia Dang” and “Xin Tra No Nguoi” with her high-pitched, skillful voice, bringing many deep emotions to the audience. Quite a few foreign tourists also stopped and swayed to each melody.

In particular, through the program, the city wants to send a message to visitors from near and far that the land and people of Hoi An always cherish the talents that have contributed to enriching the music of Vietnam, and Trinh Cong Son is one of the admired monuments.

Musician Trinh Cong Son passed away on April 1, 2001. He is one of the icons of Vietnamese music with many immortal songs. The songs he composed are remembered and loved by generations such as “Cat bui”, “Ha trang”, “Mot gioi di ve”, “Diem xua”…
