During the first few days of the Hung Temple Festival and the Ancestral Land Culture and Tourism Week in the year of the Snake 2025, despite the cold and rainy weather caused by the Northeast monsoon, a large number of people and tourists from all over the country made pilgrimages to the Hung Temple historical site to offer incense and commemorate the Hung Kings before the main ceremony.
The Hung Temple Festival and the Ancestral Land Culture and Tourism Week of the Year of the Snake 2025 officially opened on March 29th. As it was the weekend, the number of people and tourists making pilgrimages to Hung Temple increased steadily from early morning.
Authorities set up soft barriers and used loudspeakers to disseminate information and remind people to ensure security and safety.
Despite the light rain, everyone was eager to go up and offer incense.
From the Public House gate, the number of visitors entering the temple is controlled to avoid overcrowding in the temple area.
The temples were relatively crowded, but locals and tourists moved in an orderly manner according to instructions, without any pushing or shoving.
A group of male tourists chose to wear the traditional Vietnamese attire of the áo the (traditional Vietnamese tunic) and khăn xếp (traditional headscarf).
At the Upper Temple, locals and tourists are guided through the incense offering ceremony procedures and quickly move to make way for others.
People prepare the offerings themselves before going to offer incense.
Contribute a portion of your merit to the restoration and preservation of historical relics.
Taking a break while waiting for my turn to offer incense.
Capture beautiful images from the Hung Temple Festival in the year of the Snake (2015).
