The fluffy clouds covering the hills, adding a bit of early winter chill, make people's hearts flutter.

Sa Pa has different beauty in each season. Among them, the cloud season at the end of the year is breathtakingly beautiful.

Lying halfway up the majestic Hoang Lien Son range, Sa Pa was honored by Times Travel as one of the top 50 most beautiful destinations in the world in 2024.

During this time, the weather in Sa Pa is mild, with temperatures ranging from 14-20 degrees Celsius, suitable for cloud formation. The lighter the wind, the thicker and more beautiful the clouds. The best times to hunt for clouds are dawn and dusk, when the gentle sunlight plays on the fluffy cotton-candy clouds.

Cloud hunting season in Sa Pa attracts a large number of tourists.

“This season, Sa Pa has a characteristically cold climate, with thick clouds hovering at an altitude of over 1,500m, creating a picturesque scene. That’s why we chose to come here to enjoy the atmosphere,” a tourist from Hanoi shared.

Among them, the most popular "cloud hunting" spot for tourists is Fansipan peak - the roof of Indochina. From the top of the mountain, on one side is Sa Pa in sight, on the other side is the majestic Hoang Lien Son range stretching to the horizon.

From the top of the 3,143m high mountain, the sun rises as early as 6am, the eastern horizon gradually turns into a sparkling golden light. The temperature difference between day and night is quite large, so many tourists have prepared warm clothes to ensure a fun, healthy and memorable trip.
